Royal Oak Cannock — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

Absolutely love this pub. I'm a trucker and often park in cannock for the evening. Found this pub and it's now my regular go to pub on my journeys. The staff are fantastic and always very welcoming. Hannah hollie and Chelsea are always very pleasant and always have beer ready for me when I enter pub. Chelsea is such happy smiling barmaid and always engages in conversation with the customers. Absolute pleasure to drink in this pub. I forgot to also mention how lovely two other members of the bar staff Mia and James. Both always very pleasant and make me very welcome. Freddie the owner has a fantastic bunch of staff working in this pub. So much so I have booked to stay in cannock over the Christmas period to come and join the festive spirit of the Royal oak and its staff...

Considering this pubs age you would have thought whoever owns it these days to put in a landlord who knows how to tap and vent two casks at the same time in the runup to the weekend. As it was the first cask(london pride i think) had run out on my visit but because he waited until it had before prepping the 2nd there was no chance it was going to be ready that night. Sad really as the Bass they have had on in the past used to be a cracking pint. Other than dull keg rubbish and uninspiring bottled beer theres not a lot left that holds...

Was looking for somewhere to watch the man United game and noticed this lovely little pub tucked away. I walked in and the members of staff greeted us with the biggest smiles and welcome.. I believe their names were Chelsea and Hannah. It was lovely and warm and nothing was toomuch trouble for them. Best pint of John Smith's I've had in a long time.
