Myself and my friend came here this evening to have food and come cocktails, we placed our first drink order with a member of staff and then used the QR code to place our food order and second drink order, paying as we placed the order, after 35 minutes the food wasnāt with us so I went and asked a member of staff, who checked and told us the order hadnāt been given to the kitchen but they printed off the order and took it across, apologised and then we had to wait a further 20 minutes for our food to come, the table next to us went through something similar with their food order and had to replace their order and were offered 10% off their food bill and a round of drinks on the house for them all, of which we never got, once we finished our food and drinks I went up and paid the remaining bill for the first two drinks we had, then we left, upon leaving the premises, a member of staff then came rushing up to us, touched my arm to then ask āurm excuse me but have you paid?ā, whilst holding a card reader, to which I replied āyes, Iāve paid on the app for our food and second drinks and Iāve just been up and paid for our first round of drinks before leavingā to which she looks on the card reader and says āoh yeah you have, sorryā and as we looked back at the premises, all members of staff were looking out the window, staring, causing other customers to stare⦠what a humiliating experience. The member of staff that took my payment then came into the garden to say that I had paid her. Iāve been here quite a few times in the past and never encountered anything like this but I donāt think Iāll be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFound this place whilst at a loose end in Cannock one evening (never thought Iād say that⦠š) - itās just behind Wetherspoons.
Place itself is unassuming from outside, with plain sign.
Inside, nice open space with tables of different heights, bar and open kitchen in front as you enter. Busy for a Sunday night, but not full. Table on request. You like to see it.
The beer was Victoria Malaga, seeing this more often these days. On the up. A decent lager and actually brewed in Malaga, as opposed to Madri, which comes from sunny Tadcaster.
The food choice was excellent, pizzas and small plates. Opted for hot honey and nduja pizza, with arancini, chicken and pork belly. (To share, donāt be greedy nowā¦). Lovely fresh pizza with good flavour; the star was the pork belly though. Crisp and tasty. Yum. Burnt my fingers picking up the arancini dish. Wow, that was hot š„
Overall a good meal, served quickly and with pleasant service. God-willing, I donāt intend to ever visit Cannock again, but if I do,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited recently and was impressed with the friendly service and well kept beer. We ordered starters of chorizo, prawns and halloumi fries, all of which were delicious and well cooked. Good menu choice plus all available gluten free too. Unfortunately, the pizza was a little disappointing. The sauce was watery, with liquid visible on the surface of the pizza, which caused the toppings to slide off when picking up a slice. The dough was also not as good as expected. That said, the flavour was still good, so it was not a total miss. Overall, a nice place with great atmosphere, just hope the pizza base...
