The food quality provided at this venue has seriously gone downhill. Service through the app was no problem although 1 of the 3 drinks was brought to the table with a dirty glass with the rim still having lipstick on it which then one of us still had to go up to the bar/find staff to have it swapped so no point in having used the app it appears that hygiene levels and precautions for the spread of covid and normal cold and flu symptoms have dropped. 3 Adult meals arrived with kid like portions, the steak looking like it had been cut with a hand saw and flattened out with a stream roller to make it look a reasonable size and being full of grissle, hullomi & onion rings had been over cooked and pieces of bacon from the burger wasn't even worth eating as it was mostly all fat. The venue now looks drab and becoming outdated and is definately due a freshen up. This always used to be one of our first go to local venues for a family gatherings but unfortunately not now.

This was a particularly busy Weatherspoons. The service was exemplary with just one issue. The busy nature of business activity meant that the tables were not cleared promptly. The two chaps in the photo with large feet thoroughly enjoyed the Curry. The Blue Nose enjoyed the coffee too and the one who is particularly drawn to beautiful blond women, in need of ICT support, enjoyed his pint of Real Ale. The pizza was delicious and the pints of Real Ale well kept and great value for money. The toilets were clean and well maintained. Outside there is a rather pleasant seating area. This is another Weatherspoons that is well worth a visit.

Really nice up market looking Wetherspoons from the approach. And once inside lived up to the first impression. It's one of those interesting places which has many separate rooms. Almost maze like. Staff here are very good... Pleasant, professional and know what they are doing. Ordered food and it was out in good time. The drinks were great as was the choice of glass they came in. We were passing through as such, but this would be a place we would seek out again when we are back in the next couple of weeks.

OMG, I couldn’t believe the service we had today. I was with my 2 friends so there were three of us all together catching up before we start college. We sat down at table 37 and ordered our food then the woman (was young and had black hair styled in a bun) brought our drinks over and asked for our age we replied 16 and asked to see ID bearing in mind we hadn’t ordered any alcohol, wasn’t being disruptive and we had previously been in before a week prior to this ordering food and soft drink to the table and at the bar. The woman who asked for ID then went to ask the manger about this and then said we had to leave which we were obviously confused and frustrated about. The woman then shouts across to the kitchen loudly to cancel our order when there was tons of other full tables around hearing this and everyone staring at us and we felt humiliated. On leaving we asked if we were going to receive a refund for this which the woman then replied “no” as we are responsible and should’ve known but there is no where saying about this on the menu or around the pub and also as we had no problem before but being 16 I wasn’t wanting to waste my money. The woman then went to speak to the manger and the manger said we could receive a refund but this has still not happened which was causing so much stress and frustration this whole experience has put us off wanting to go back here which is a shame as we would have such fun here. We have also looked on the website about this and it doesn’t say anywhere about needing ID so we we’re obviously kicked out for the wrong reason and had a right to stay we were angry about this and are still waiting to here back from the manger about the refund I am still waiting to come through to my account. DO NOT WASTE MONEY HERE! WETHERSPOONS HEDGEFORD LODGE YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF WONT BE COMING BACK...

The most strangest meal I have ever had . Left us scratching our heads . We went for a friends birthday on the 20th June. It was an extremely busy day due to the size of the place and the fact it was a Friday and extremely busy due to the hot weather .

We found a table inside and there were 5 of us . We expected to wait at the bar and for food service to be slower . We looked at the menu and first noticed there was no grill menu. We do normally have the steak option but it was off the menu. Not sure its a seasonal thing so we will see.

Trying to order and most things were out of stock . We found eventually something that was in stock and went from there . I ordered the chicken burger . It arrived and it was tasteless . It was rather well cooked and to be honest I could have gone to Iceland and bought myself a pack of the for £2.50 and cooked in the airfryer and it would have tasted better.

This is where it got bizarre . My friend ordered the mega burger with chicken strips as a side . The burger came out and he asked the waitress about the side of chicken strips . She said she would check and came back with five cooked chicken breasts . We all looked at them and said No it was chicken stripes . She insisted that this was right and walked away .

We thought ok between 5 of us but OMG . They could have been tasteless cardboard . None of us could get over how you make chicken breast that taste of nothing . The only positive that came out of it was the dogs and cats ate well that night .

We do normally use the one in Cannock and have never had a bad meal but this was horrible plan and simple . £10.00 for a burnt burger and a dozen chips ?

We wont be back and will take the extra few miles and go to...

When we stopped for lunch, it was quite busy, but I determined that this was due to the 17.5% off meals deal that was running that day. Despite it being busy, there was still plenty of tables available. We found a table in a quiet area and selected our meals from an extensive menu which catered for all tastes. We ordered our meals and drinks at the bar and the money of deal was deducted from the bill on payment. We had only been back at our table a short time when our food was delivered to us. Our food was of good quality and was just right for a lunch meal.

Whilst we were eating the couple on the neighbouring table had an issue over £1 which had not been deducted from their bill. The staff dealt with this in a calm professional way, but I did feel sorry for the young waitress who the rude customer demanded that she take the meals away which she had just delivered.

The only very slight negatives I have are 1) There was no tomato sauce and 2) our table had not been wiped down when the previous customers plates had been cleared, but like I said, they were busy.

Overall, I am happy to give 5 stars for a great meal and the friendly and helpful...
