White Hart — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

My first visit to this pub. We were in a group that had previously booked two tables of six. However, because we had one extra, we were happy to be split into three tables. However, the manager refused us entry and we had to sit outside and it was cold. Some of our group had traveled from far away, so it wasn't possible to find somewhere else. The pub was empty, so was easy to socially distance our table. The remained empty from when we arrived at 7pm to when we left at 10pm. Kitchen was also closed so no food either. I would not return here. If I could award zero stars, I would. The only redeeming thing about the whole night was that the young lad who served us did a great job. Edit: I dispute the reply. Had to wait 1Hour 30Minutes for our food ! Left with a full refund because the kitchen was about to close and our dinner wasn’t even ready. When we arrived here, it was very nicely decorated and looked like a nice place to eat. Although, definitely wouldn’t recommend for large families looking for a meal here. From the menu you would think that there is a lot of choice for everyone, but when ordering food, the meals we chose were either not available or the main ingredient had ran out. The drinks were nice but overall it was terrible service, Apparently, there was only one chef, witch i was surprised about , seeing the amount of families coming for food, we left the place hungry and annoyed ! Had a really wonderful experience at this pub today. The supervisor with long hair was friendly, polite and super attentive to our needs. My child is heavily autistic and she was extremely patient with him and spoke to him like an adult instead of babying him which made my family feel so safe and welcome. He is obsessed with her bright pink shoes and because of her we will be returning! She ensured that the entire pub was spotless and that all current government guidelines were followed by all customers in a polite manner and even witnessing her interacting with other customers proved that she is a very capable and kind young lady.
