I’ll preface this mixed review by saying that it is a nice place in terms of decor and and overall atmosphere (as well as easy location for dinner when staying in town), as well as the service being generally friendly. However, our experience was a little disappointing tonight. Everything started off well, lovely welcome by a young waitress, was seated quickly and order was taken straight away. Our drinks came quickly and we were excited to eat….except we saw everyone else being served first despite them arrived after, as well as being served similar food to what we ordered. We waited half an hour before deciding perhaps something was wrong, so asked if our food was coming. The waiter went to investigate, but another 10 mins went by before the food arrived. The burger I ordered was ok, but wasn’t cooked medium as asked for, and the fries didn’t seem to taste if rosemary like advertised on the menu. I still ate the food, as it was still edible and to be honest I didn’t want to complain and wait longer to eat. We were supposed to be celebrating my PhD graduation. I do also feel in general it is far from value for money. A burger and fries costs 14.50, and it costs an extra 1.50 or so just to add a slice of cheese, bacon is double that, plus the fries portion is quite small, I felt. The sauce barely touched the burger, so you’re mainly tasting the over cooked beef and salad. The burger was ok, but in all honesty it tastes like the burgers you get at Wetherspoons. Again, edible/nice enough, but for those prices I’d expect something a bit more special. I think with a bit of a tweak to the menu and more dedication to speed of service, I’d happily come again as, like stated before, it’s a nice...

I visited here with my daughters and partner and, again, was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere.

Our waiter was Jan, who was very attentive and friendly. He went the extra mile to ensure we had the best possible experience, including swapping out a meal (eggs florentine) that had gone cold due to feeding our newborn baby... thank you so much!

It's the little things that really make a big difference, and the staff must have fantastic training because they give the most wonderful dining experience. Really, really well done, guys, and thank you so much for delivering such a lovely dining experience!

See you again soon!!

I visited here with my daughter today, around 13:00.

We were welcomed in by a friendly team of staff who were very attentive and kind.

We were given a choice to sit outside or insid. Wee chose a window table upstairs. Our server was Romy who was wonderful, kid-friendly and very helpful, especially when choosing vegetarian options, she recommended the plant plate which was absolutely delicious!

My daughter said her burger was "amazing" it did look very good, I almost regretted not getting one, but was happy with my choice.

We couldn't have had a nicer waitress in my opinion, she made us feel very welcome and I'd come here again just based on that. Although the food was superb also. Thank you guys for a...

Just want to say thank you to Joseph at the Canterbury branch, who kindly help us move tables. Initially we were given a table for 2 (by a manager who plonked the menus down and more or less just walked off) right outside the toilet, which was not ideal as every time the door was opened it stank. This table should not be positioned there! When I asked to be moved, Jospeh who came to take our drink order, apologised and made enquiries about moving. We were then pointed over to another table by another member of staff who also just walked off without even showing us the table which was squashed between another couple and the staircase ! Joseph saw this, came over and kindly told us that there were tables upstairs and to follow him. He gave as a table by a window with room to move and the upstairs seating area was less noisy and more roomy than downstairs. Our table server Josh, was excellent. Very attentive and polite. Both Jospeh (who went above and beyond in my opinion) and Josh are credits to you. Maybe your managers need to slow down a bit and rethink how they deal with customers, get rid of the table by the toilet and make more use of the seating upstairs. The restaurant wasn’t full or overly busy in my opinion(there were still empty tables inside and even more upstairs) so more care and politeness could have been given by the other staff members that initially...

A lovely restaurant with a bar and different combinations of seating type allows you to experience a different type of cosy get-together around the table. There is an upstairs area that I did not see and will try this area upon my return sometime. The food was of very good quality and was nicely presented on the plate. The service was very quick and politely done, and orders were dealt with very well by our waiter. The atmosphere was nice, and the decor a little bit off the wall, sort of industrial, i would say? I was disappointed when I ordered a drink with Brandy in it and was surprised they didn't stock it and had to settle for a whisky instead. I do have to say the bottled IPA was absolutely delicious and had a lovely hoppy, fruity tang to it, which went great with my beef burger! Outside seating available for fine weather conditions on the street, the pavemented side looks great at the entrance. There are toilets available in this establishment. Overall, it was a good evening out and a very nice experience in the restaurant in the Canterbury town centre.
