I am so shocked by today. Low on staff so queuing for a while. I asked for a breakfast baguette. For that, you get the exact same amount of ingredients as you would in a bap but still charged more. I open it to see the egg so badly cooked, it looks like a 5 Yr old child did it. The sausage sliced very poorly as you can see by the pic so one side was extremely dry. Nearly £5 for this. Absolute joke Boyce's bakery. Unless standards dramatically improve, I for one will not be returning. What a let down I tried again today, and again a total let down. I don't understand how the service and food can be so bad compared to Canterbury. I'm not saying all the food is bad, it's actually very nice, but can they make a bacon roll? Absolutely not. I called this morning, took over 20 minutes to answer and the lady was quite rude. Note for the staff DO NOT ARGUE WITH CUSTOMERS!

Oct 25 came for coffee and cake, the coffee and lounge part was shut. So coffee in paper cups. Cakes were great Cream Belgium bun and a Cream Iced doughnut. Eating in service is slow when busy, especially having to make coffees, etc, from the machine. Food is freshly made to order. Bacon roll was great, and the crabstick roll had plenty of filling. Pannies good and hot. Only issue is that the toilets are upstairs, but a good comfy seating is up there if you can do the stairs. Had cakes from the bakery to take home for later, and they were great

Called Billy's now I believe?? Good selection of cakes etc, but the best thing for me is the hot tea and freshly baked pain au raisin served with a cheerful smile at 7.30am. Thanks ladies!

Had a terrible service recently - our order was wrong, several times, left to go cold while it was corrected, upon getting in we found it was still wrong, as soon as I said anything the young girl serving got the hump and went into a strop even though I couldn't have been nicer about it if I tried, when it came time to pay the card machine was dumped on the counter top, I had to call her back to ask for a receipt which I needed, I told her I was unhappy and literally got a hand on hips response, to be fair the other staff in there are usually very good, I wrote a letter to complain and asked for a reply which we handed into the manager later that day and have not heard a thing back over 2 weeks later - I note there are quite a few 1 star instances of this on here - too many for there to be nothing in it - the lack of response clearly shows their view on customer service - back to our former bakery for cakes and the cafe for brekkie rolls from now on - that's £40 per week they won't...

This little gem on Herne Bay High Street is everything you could want in a bakery and more! The cosy atmosphere wraps you up like a warm hug the moment you step through the door. The staff are so friendly and welcoming…they always greet you with a smile and make you feel right at home.

And the cakes? Absolutely divine! Each bite is a little piece of heaven. Pair that with a perfectly brewed coffee, and you’ve got the perfect excuse to linger a little longer. Whether I’m meeting friends for a catch-up or settling in to do some work, it’s pure bliss. This place is such a wonderful part of the community—Herne Bay is...
