I recently visited Longport cafe and had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to share. From the moment I walked in, the warm and cozy atmosphere immediately made me feel at ease. The soft lighting, rustic decor, and gentle background music created the perfect setting for both relaxing and catching up with friends.
The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. I ordered the avocado poached egg and a cappuccino, both of which exceeded expectations. The toast was perfectly crunchy and butter ,while the coffee had a rich, smooth flavour with the perfect amount of foam.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They checked in without hovering and offered great recommendations with a smile. It’s clear that they take pride in creating a great customer experience.
Overall, Longport is a hidden gem that combines excellent food, a charming atmosphere, and top-notch service. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over a lazy brunch, it’s definitely...
Read moreWe had a couple of the set breakfasts and they were good. Better then most. Tastey, quality bacon and just good all round. Ill tell you what it was like, you know the replicator machine on Star Trek where they ask for a drink or dish and the comliter just magics exactly the dish - no more - no less ".. Tea, Early Gray, hot". It was like that: the sausage was cooked exactly right ALL the way round; the bacon was just the right width; the eggs had exactly the right amount of gooie yoke... All exactly the right amount, like a computer would make it. Its just having a burnt bit on your sausage (like a human would make it) kind of breaks up the taste a bit - maybe you know what I mean, maybe I'm talking nonscence. I mean you can't critasise a place for being too good right? The coffee was weak, but otherwise excellent food...
Read moreWouldn't recommend if you have any special dietary requirements such as gluten and lactose intolerance, as they don't offer any options for this. Also, when we asked to swap 2 slices of bread for 1 tomato due to dietary requirements we were told we'd have to pay extra as you're not allowed to swap anything without an additional charge... bit strange as most other places allow this and are more flexible. All breakfasts come with tea or coffee but they don't offer any milk alternatives like soya. When we asked what other drinks were available, they only had cans of soft drink, which we didn't really fancy with a breakfast/brunch. I feel bad for the servers because it felt like the chefs/owners had tied their hands in these matters, hence the 2 stars not 1. I can imagine a lot of business is lost because of...
