You can’t order desert here!! They have it. It’s just physically not possible to eat anything else after a main meal. The portions are excellent value by today’s standards. The quality, taste and attention to detail on each plate is always amazing. The chefs working today in particular (lunch service, 02/06/24) smashed it. The pub is so cozy and the outdoor area has had some great renovations. Myself and a friend also went there for drinks last night and the woman tending the bar was fantastic, serving friendly conversation and pretty G&Ts with fruit. So gutted to be moving away, will miss this place! Such a rare gem. Thanks for the last 5 years(ish) of exceptional service Two...

My wife and I stayed at the Chaucer Travelodge and popped into the Two Sawyers on Sunday around 2:30pm, it was quiet but staff were very happy for us to order a lunch which was very nice. We went back on Monday evening for a bar snack and again even though it had just gone 8 it was no problem getting food. I had London Gold ale which was superb, my wife had one of the many Gins on offer, Rhubarb and Ginger flavoured one which again was really nice. The bar staff and Landlord were very accommodating and polite which gave the pub a pleasant ambiance. When we’re back in the area we won’t hesitate to call in. Diolch yn...

I’m pretty picky when it comes to pubs and so I’m pleased to say I had a very enjoyable visit to this fabulous venue, situated in one of Canterbury’s prettiest lanes, not far from the City Centre, with a beautiful beer garden out the back. Enjoyed the Timothy Taylor’s Golden Best ale on cask, served in a jug and in superb condition at just the right temperature for a warm day. The food was frankly very impressive: really chunky Ham, 2 Eggs, very tasty Chips and Salad in a large portion and cooked to perfection. All for a reasonable price given the current times and with efficient service....

Possibly the finest pub in Canterbury. Tucked away along a narrow lane in the southern end of the town, The Two Sawyers offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a great selection of food and drink. The Steak & Stilton pie was excellent as were the several different beers I tried over a couple of evenings. Great place to go as a group and welcoming if you're travelling solo and just want to read a book. Huge selection of Gins too with an important sign outside to help you locate it. Five stars.

Lovely little pub with great food and friendly staff. We happened to stay near here, but we’re too late for food the first day (the kitchen closes at 8pm). It’s a nice but smallish pub with a warm friendly feel. However what really impressed me was the food - I ordered the chicken skewers. Three skewers with big chunks of delicious succulent chicken, plentiful chips and a big salad (I asked for no coleslaw). Mine was under 16 pounds which was very good value for money. Well worth a visit.
