The Harbour Brewers Fayre — Restaurant in Carrickfergus

Monday night me and my wife after fishing really hungry, we are past this restaurant going in sittang have a meal ,my wife have fish and chips I have a mixed grill, we have been waiting about 40 minutes fo r our meal , the waitress put our foot on the table, the both dish terrible looking, specialty fish and chips ,totally black ,look like the waste oil cook it , i took the picture , I said to the waitress, I said I'm sorry I can't take this, looks really terrible , she said to me do you want to change something else, i say No thank you , I said to her me and my wife can share the mixed grill together, she took away the fish and chips, about 5 minutes later, she left fish and chips the money on the table, not even say sorry, and we are starting to eat mixed grill, you can see in the picture,the beef is black the chicken is cold, the onion ring is black we only eat two sausages and some chips, I saw another waitress clean beside our table,I said can I see the manager, the waitress said, she said the manager was serving you eary on , I understand now the waitress put the meal on my table she is the manager, I am really surprised ,why the big bar restaurant like this have a manage like this , she must have very good experience to be a manager, a meal look like this Still serving to the customer table , I think it's really terrible, I'm very very disappointed, after our meal, I went to the bar speak The lady behind the bar, and tell her exactly what happened, she said sorry, would you like a drink ,I said no thank you very much it's...

Waited an hour for haddock and chips when it came the haddock was cremated to the point where I sent it bk to the kitchen . I waited patiently 45mins to the point when waitress was clearing plates of the other 3 people I was with and asked if everything was ok? I explained that I was still waiting and had nearly been two hours in all and I would just like a refund the girl went to the kitchen and sent the manager to me who did give me apologies and promised meal would be at the most 5 mins and he would give me a full refund which he did . It took another 15mins from that point to get my meal which was not what I had ordered I pointed this out again to the manager who sorted it out straight away and apologised again and then offered free deserts for the table. Having been many times before on previous visits I have to say that in general it's a comfortable place with friendly staff and food is !! Ok !! It's also great for kids as well as there is a play area to keep them busy although I'd recommend eating away from play area if you have no kids with you as it can be noisy and busy. I have to mention also that chip portions are small with all meals I always order an extra portion! I will review my rating upon next visit as I like to be fair on my ratings and as I say I've never had any...

My son and I booked the Premier Inn/Brewers Fayre breakfast buffet. Having visited several Premier Inns all around the UK, we had high expectations for breakfast this morning, but unfortunately, this particular location did not deliver. The buffet breakfast was £10.99 per person and consists of cooked items (sausage, bacon, eggs, mushroom, beans, tomato and hash browns), as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit, pancakes, toast and crumpets, pain au chocolate and croissants.

The only eggs on offer were fried eggs and there were no pork sausages, only beef. At other locations, they'll have porridge or granola and Yogurt parfaits, but not here. I made myself one instead. Every drink out of the coffee machine tasted exactly the same and all of the breakfast juices were served room temperature instead of chilled. I don't know one person who likes pure orange juice at room temp!!

The very worst aspect though is how disgusting the ladies toilets are. Everything is dirty looking and so run down. It looks like the original locks on the stall doors have been replaced with smaller locks, and the holes left behind haven't been filled in so if someone was inclined, they'd get a good look at you using the toilet!!

Definitely one of the poorer Premier Inn...
