I’ve been to drink a few times now based on the fact that they were the best coffee in Chelmsford through the Foodmunkey followers poll and I’ve had a number of recommendations from friends and other people around Chelmsford to go and try out. So I did. They are certainly worthy of the title of best coffee in Chelmsford. The Espresso’s I’ve had from Driink have been consistent. This is an result in itself, both times they have been creamy and warm and just the right amount of foam on top. I think it’s the first place in as long as I can remember to have consistent espressos!
I also spent a couple of hours working in there on their free wifi from the comfort of a nice leather couch watching the world go by. It’s a cracking place just to sit and chill and enjoy some amazing coffee and sweet treats from Megg, Sugar, Flour and Roseberry Bakes! If you haven’t tried these yet you need to!
Oh the savoury treats too! I have tried the Salt Beef and Pesto toasted sandwich which was to die for!
The staff are amazing, always welcoming you in with a smile on their faces, welcoming you back, and just generally making you feel welcome.
I’m just looking at my calendar now to look for an opening that I can get down and WFD (Work From...
Read moreVisited this coffee bar with high expectations due to its 4.9-star rating but left very disappointed. I arrived at 9:30 a.m. for a quick coffee but was ignored by two staff members who were too busy chatting and laughing to notice customers. After finally catching their attention to place an order, I paid £3.90 for my coffee and took a seat.
Despite the bar being nearly empty with only five other patrons, we waited patiently for over 10 minutes while the staff continued chatting. When I approached the counter to inquire about the delay, they admitted to having forgotten our order because the ticket "wasn't printed."
They refunded me in cash, but by then, my husband no longer had time to enjoy the coffee. Adding to the disappointment, the tables were dirty, and the seating was uncomfortable.
This was the worst customer service I've experienced in years, and it’s baffling how this place has such high ratings. I won’t...
Read moreDon't be fooled by the location, this is a great little artisan coffee house. It's such a shame Chelmsford is full of mainstream chains and more of these places don't exist. Let's hope you can start a trend!
Coffee is great. Mild, yet full of flavour, they serve locally roasted beans that trump the 20+ Costa's that dominate the High Street. The venue is lovely and well arranged, feels very modern and comfortable.
Didn't manage to try any of the cakes /sandwiches but was impressed with the range and it was great to see allergen information clearly displayed.
Would definitely return. If you like good coffee, please do give this place a go.
Owners - Please market this place better; I only knew it existed because I accidentally read the...
