Roasted Café — Restaurant in Cheltenham

Popped in for lunch mid week while WFH and wanted more than a cold sandwich. Stumbled on it by chance but so glad we found a new local! Staff was lovely, very helpful with suggestions since it was our first time. I ordered the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich with parmesan fries. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich and added a few options so it was exactly as he liked. He also ordered a side of coleslaw which he said tasted like his mother’s. Both came with dressed salad which was a nice touch and very good sized portions. We thought it was great value for money and won’t hesitate to go back. Roasted Cafe is a little snug cafe on the Charlton Kings high street. I had the chicken, bacon and avocado salad and I was very impressed - it was huge and satisfying. I would be prepared if you have any mobility issues that it is very crampt, especially upstairs. Yesterday, I was a little disappointed that the cafe decided not to serve the side salad with my little girl's sandwich. I am all for reducing food waste, but the fact we were not asked was disappointing because she lives salad. Maybe ask everyone if they want salad, rather than just assume...

Awful. Waiting for 40 mins for a tuna melt sandwich and avocado and eggs. After chasing it up was told they were "doing it now"(clearly had been forgotten). Excuse given that they were"really busy and it's hot "- several empty tables in garden area by our seats and didn't seem that busy inside.Waited a little while longer and then walked out so never got to try the food. Didn't even finish our drinks as wanted to have them with the food. First visit to the area and will never bother with this place again. Absolutely...
