Sixways Wine Bar — Restaurant in Cheltenham

Nice place went there with family for a quick bite to eat last June. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The Greek salad was lacklustre a few lettuce leaves, an underripe tomato and perhaps one olive? I could give them the recipe as it’s not a difficult one to get right not expensive . Claudia Roden does a great one if you want any pointers. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and the man at the bar barely acknowledged us ( perhaps we didn’t look hip enough) He seemed irritable as though our presence was burdening an already annoying day. It looks lovely in the evenings and a great place to have an evening drink but in the daytime I expected a little more enthusiasm as we were the only customers. Perhaps a smile would not go amiss.
