Smokin' Burgers & Shakes — Restaurant in Cheltenham

This place used to be owned by Muslim owners and everything was halal at that time. The food was delicious and we never had any problems.

Recently, the ownership has changed and the new owner’s service is extremely poor.

We have tried it a couple of time after the new owners took over but the chicken and beef burgers were cold and tasteless.

The food was not worth it - they take forever to make it and it’s still served cold.

People working inside are polite but the owner is very rude.

Just wanted to spread the word to all our Muslim brothers and sisters that the beef is not halal anymore.

They don’t even tell people and many may have just eaten from Smokin Burgers without the knowledge that the beef is not halal (people would’ve assumed since it has been halal for so many years).

I didn't have much time and needed a quick bite. Should never have stopped here. I ordered a Brekkie Burger, sounded good, fried egg, hash browns etc. I got handed my bag in 8 mins, thats good time when on the go. When i stopped and went to eat it, it was a different burger??. Oh well, i'm hungry, just eat it. Would not have cared too much if it wasn't a terrible burger. The meat they claim is 6oz must shrink to 3oz due to water retension, it was rubbery and had grissle in, not even the ok sauce could save it. Cheap fall apart bun too. Colleague told me to try Smokin' Burgers & Shakes a few months ago. I decided today would be the day I tried it out. I walked in and was met with a warm welcome. Was helped with what they recommended. Order was pain free and a breeze. 8 minutes later I was met with my meal presented in a bag. The fries where crispy hot and fluffy and soft inside. The burger was a delight!! Brioche bun toasted to not be too crunchy but not a mush when eaten. The two smashed patties was crispy on edges and nice and meaty. Sauce I can not describe but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
