Positives: The proprietor is generally friendly, if a bit mardy at times, the drinks are reasonably priced and you can hire the function room for free or minimal cost, providing your own food if you wish - as long as you buy the drinks from them.

Negatives: As it is in a residential area, the staff are very sensitive to the feelings of the neighbours - whilst I totally understand this, it can but a minor dampener on your evening - just something to be aware of. The toilet cleanliness isn't consistent. Most significantly, during a recent party here, I gather a female staff member joined in when multiple girls were ganging up on my partner in the toilets - not sure what it had to do with her, but she decided to involve herself - not in a professional capacity but by making it personal, so I hear.
