Mixed review of this place having eaten-in yesterday. It’s really jolly and fun in decor, and the young lady who served us was very nice and friendly, but the fun kind of stops there. Who goes for nachos without having a margarita? Not me. Except here. £10.50 for a margarita is outrageously expensive. In fact the cost of all of the alcoholic drinks is horrendously out of whack when compared to the price of the food... some beers are £8. The nachos are also expensive for what they are. From the description on the menu and the price, I expected loaded nachos, not some tortilla chips covered with a bit of (somewhat) melted cheese and some dips. The salsa comes in a variety of heat levels from 1-4; we had chipotle (3), which was smoky but not at all hot. The guacamole is super blended and smooth and a bit blah (see photo)... we like it chunky and full of flavour. The burritos got a thumbs up from the men at the table. I had two different tacos, one pork and one beef (the pork has much more flavour) which were fine, but one didn’t seem to have any of the ordered salsa, and the other only the tiniest amount. I will say that they didn’t skimp on the meat. The restaurant was very quiet - just two other tables that we could see, but even so, we waited a long time. Perhaps they were making up loads of takeout orders. We arrived at 5pm and didn’t receive our main courses until just after 6pm and we hadn’t delayed in ordering. We had the nachos to put us on, but we didn’t ask for them as a “starter”. So, I’ve given it a 3/5 star review. I think they have to speed it up, amp up the flavour and definitely revisit the cocktail pricing.

Overall Really great addition to the Banbury dining scene, good service, fun atmosphere, tasty food, great portions and small independent business - which does mean they have realistic pricing for all their costs, arguably this is more expensive than your copy and pasted chains. Service Welcoming team, staff (including the owner/manager) are still learning the menu so its a bit slow at times but they are more than happy to accommodate reasonable requests and are super friendly. Food Having sampled pretty much all the menu I can say that the wings, corn and burritos are simply incredible. Obviously like most Mexican places you can customise to your hearts content which means it would really only be your own fault if the food wasn't to your liking. Its not rocket science to cook this kind of food but the team prepared ALL of our food exactly how it was requested so everyone enjoyed their meals. Drinks So there is some conflict here, the cocktail shakes are simply amazing but they are pricey for what they are. Would I buy them again? probably for a special occasion but not for a standard outing. If you wanted to start a night out in Banbury with a burrito and a cocktail then you wouldn't be disappointed! Decor/atmosphere We visited on a Tuesday so there was a lack of buzz in the joint but the decor is fun and its not hard to imagine that later in the week this would be a real hive of activity and culture (for Banbury at least). But for me, I don't mind a slightly quieter evening where I can enjoy just the company of my immediate table.

Delicious Pan-Asian Cuisine. I will be going again. Loved the Beetroot Salad, Aubergine Dip and Lightly-Spiced French Fries. Whatever I order for my main next time, I plan to persuade my friends to order a selection of side dishes for the table as well. The combination of flavours was so good. ...... so I have been back to this restaurant a few times now and I have some new recommendations for you to try: Quinoa Salad, their new limited edition Blue Lemongrass and Butterfly Peaflower Tea (you have to make a special request for this as it is not officially on the menu), the champagne is a superb blanc de blancs and the dressing/dipping sauce for the gyoza dumplings will tickle your tastebuds!! Another thing I have learnt is that there is plenty of parking available on a Wednesday evening.

I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for a local business. Ordinarily if something seems poor or I'm not quite happy with the service, I tend to pay my bill, smile as we leave and make a mental note not to go back. The service we received at 3 flavours was that bad, I can't just shake it off. We arrived as a table of four (2 adults, 2 children) we waited next to an uncleared table for what was slightly longer than you'd expect, no big deal, the helpful waitress took out order and was quite accommodating re food allergies etc. The food was brought out in random order with some eating whilst other waited. I ordered a starter which failed to arrive and when the main courses came out, one was wrong, the wrong one was sent back and we waited so long for the right meal that my meal was completely cold. The gentleman seemed very put out that we dare question anything and looked visibly p@ssed off. After waiting 20 minutes we made our excuses, paid for what we had eaten and left with no apologies, no attempt to rectify the situation. Maybe it was just a bad day, it was clearly understaffed and the poor lady working there was carrying out several roles, nevertheless, going out for dinner should be a treat and we walked out feeling...
