Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Cherwell District

I went in at exactly 4:30 pm to have a cup of tea and a scone. When placing my order, I was told that they were closing in 30 minutes, so my tea would be in a takeaway.cup. I assume this was so the staff member didn't have any washing up to do at the end of their shift... despite the fact my scone needed to go on a plate. I was then presented with a scone on a plate, a takeaway tea, milk in a small jug (more washing up!) ... so I got my own tray to carry my stuff. After then asking for butter...and a knife ... I sat down, to find the butter frozen and as it defrosted pools.of water formed which I poured out onto the tray to avoid spreading it.on my scone. My tea could have easily.gone in a pot without interfering with cafe closure - the takeaway cup was unnecessary and ruined.my...

Breakfast was ok, bacon needed to be crispy and sausages were a bit on the pale side. Id had better from them in the past. One member of staff was quite rude, no please or thank you, slammed our number for our table on the counter, obviously having a bad day, not my fault or my problem so dont take it out on your customers, have a word with your manager and sort it out. On the flip side, the person serving the drinks was lovely, really polite and friendly, almost apologetic looking because of her grumpy colleague. Coffee...

Terrible experience. Turned up at 3pm to order some food with the family to be told they're only selling sandwiches and paninis because the kitchen wanted to close early. Not good for a celiac! But there was nothing else they could offer. My daughter ordered a goats cheese panini which was heated up and almost thrown at us when brought to the table. The panini barely had any goats cheese in it. Not impressed at all. Also the aircon was at full blast making the environment...
