Greggs — Restaurant in Chesterfield

Never usually have a problem with this place except for today. I come here most mornings before work to pick up a coffee. This morning I went straight to the collection point, as I always do and let the staff know that I was there for a collection for Tom. A woman with ginger hair instantly responded with ‘no not yet’ which straight away I thought was abit cold and unwelcoming. So I sat down and waited. I chose the collection time of 07:10 and arrived at 07:15. At 07:30 the same lady put my drink on the top and said ‘your drinks there’. Again, not very customer friendly.. I picked up my drink and said ‘better late than never’ to which the same lady then replied ‘don’t come back then’. Like what?!?! What had I done to deserve this treatment? My local Greggs that I attend near enough daily and I’m being spoken to like I’d deeply offended her. An apology would have been expected but instead I was told to not come back? Not how you speak to somebody, let alone a customer and a loyal one at that. Would avoid and travel just around the corner to the Greggs at Tesco, where the staff have always been extremely welcoming and want to go above and beyond for...

Called at approx 10.25 today, 9th March 24. 2 female and 1 male serving, I had the misfortune of the lad once I got to the front of the queue. I ordered a breakfast baguette, a bacon/sausage roll and 2 coffees. The roll once prepared was slid under the screen at me, bag open. The sandwich fell apart in the bag. The lad then took nearly 10 minutes to prepare the baguette as he had no serviettes or long bags. He disappeared twice into the back to re-stock. He finally managed to apply ketchup to the inside and outside of the sandwich. His demeanor was so depressing I thought I might need counselling. At least it explained the queue. Do yourself a favour folk, drive up the road to Gregg's at Littlemoor...

I will be very specific hoping that management deal with this.

7.30am 9th March. What a horrible person this staff member is.

A lady by the name of Claire. During my 3 minutes or so in store she did the following;

. Mocked a customer to another staff member for trying to pay the wrong staff.

. Demanded to staff that she had more to do than any other staff member so that gave her the right to act the way she does.

. Served me and was trying to get me away so fast that she asked me the same question multiple times as she couldn't remember.

. Then served me the wrong items.

She is rude, sarcastic and treats customers and her staff like they are beneath her....
