Muchos Nachos — Restaurant in Chichester

I don’t usually leave negative reviews however felt I had to after our experience last night, we are very regular guests and actually friends of the previous management and previously muchos nachos was my absolute favourite restaurant, I always had the one same order every time, unfortunately last nights visit has ruined that for me and I now feel I never want to return, upon arrival we were made to wait 30 minutes before even being served for any drinks, this was obviously frustrating so we even went outside to smoke during this wait having just arrived! Eventually our order was taken which was 4 cocktails and my food being the Jack Daniel’s Texas burger and fries, usually this comes with lettuce, onion, aioli, red slaw, tomatoes and Jack Daniel’s sauce but I simply asked for no aioli, or tomato and requested that instead of red slaw I had jalepeno jelly on the side, this is a simple request that I have had an enjoyed on every visit. It was a long wait and my food arrived before any of our drinks which is not standard practise for a restaurant at all, the food arrived without the jalepeno jelly and had to be taken back to provide this and once returned and I began eating I noticed it had none of the barbecue sauce, no lettuce, no onion and was completely plain and not what I had ordered at all, I decided to eat it anyway due to being hungry and the long two waits! But was surprised when we recieved no check backs and the bill handed to us straight away, when leaving I made my complaint as 12.95 for a plain burger completely different to what I ordered is just unacceptable and the only gesture they offered was removing the £4 service charge! It was a very disappointing visit, the service has comepetely gone down hill with one girl waiting a full restaurant on her own all night you can expect it to go wrong. I feel let down by the service and the waste of time and money on that meal. I have given two stars primarily for the enjoyable cocktails but...

What a sorry state of affairs!!

Unfortunately my friends and I (5 ladies) had a very bad, all round, experience... All started with ordering drinks - they were a poor quality, there was a lack of options, we could only order 3 out of 8 cocktails from the menu due to the bar not having the ingredients to make them. When asked could they not go and buy the missing ingredient (cranberry juice) from the store I was told to just pick something else. One of the cocktails was so sour and they only offered to add syrup instead of replacing it I ended up changing my drink twice as all were of a terrible quality.

As for the Main meal... my friends and I were looking forward to a succulent traditional Mexican dish but once again we were greeted with more misery that we could not even drown our sorrows in alcohol due to the lack of ingredients.

Food was mediocre , I ordered peri peri chicken with rice, salad and tortilla chips however, once again something missing, no tortilla chips were provided. Yet another issue for the restaurant to supply what is on the menu.

Last but not least..... the bill ... I realised when checking my bank transactions the day after that there was a 10% service charge, nearly £30 ,the staff never mentioned it when I paid. It states on the website that groups of 8 or more will have a 10% service charge added to the bill but not for a group of 5!!!

Overall - I will not be returning to this restaurant as they clearly do not care for...

I visited 26/04/2023 1500, had an awful visit today, never had an issue before. Myself and my partner ordered nachos to start, these were fine no issues, mains we ordered the Gambas Grande, well where do I start on this, a small salad and undercooked rice, 5 tiny prawns in a tasteless tomato soup, very over priced at £19.95 for what it is, I ordered the chicken fajitas, this was swimming in oil and absolutely disgusting, 4 small wraps which were hard by time i relieved them, also order 2 side, chips and onion rings again very oily. This has now left awful taste in mouth which can't get rid of, my hands stink of oil. Hardly any off the food was touched. Complained to the male staff member, who just said he would let kitchen staff know, no apology given! I've eaten here many times before and this is the first time I have had to complain regarding an issue with the food. I'm so disappointed, a total waste of money. One my favourite places to eat, but not anymore. Lost faith in the place. The fact I was still charged for food that was vile and complained about is appalling. Something needs to be...
