Read moreWhilst the collections on the day were good we, the book group talk was particularly informative and added a further layer you might not get at any other gallery. I believe they meet here each month and review a book which is directly linked to an exhibition or artist at the museum. We and a number of others felt very fortunate to be able to join this group on the day, not having read the book (they were very welcoming) and were generous in allowing us to participate in with the discussion. We learnt so much from this group (today's book was a biography of Virginia Woolf). The group took us through the book and allowed us to ask questions and shared in the debate. It was an excellent way to appreciate such a great woman and an interesting life and gave us much to ponder long after we left.
We hope the group can use a room at the gallery in the future as we felt the restaurant area they were given to use today and the goings on around us was a bit too noisy so not conducive to the flow of discussion.
It's a eeally great feature this sort of gathering and probably unique aspect it gives the gallery. We hope this is developed further at this venue by the gallery management and the volunteers.
It made for an really enjoyable and insightful afternoon. Many thanks to members of...

When we finally accessed the audio guide via the app it kept dropping out because of poor Wi-Fi. We also had to wait half an hour for a coffee – the explanation being the order had not gone through because of poor Internet access. A good start would be making it clear on the website how to access the audio guide...
