A five star dining experience. We loved the atmosphere and service here and everything, drinks and food, was excellent quality. We tried the Lettuce Parcels from the 'starters'/small plates, Crispy Chilli Beef and Sea Bass from the 'mains'/large plates, a bottle of the Pinot Noir from the wine menu (a beautiful Romanian red), and cocktails for dessert. Portions were just right (hence no room for actual dessert) and I couldn't fault the overall experience. I think our bill, including the service charge, came in at around the £120 mark. We wouldn't usually dine out somewhere like this because our kids' idea of fine dining is mayo on their nuggets, but this was for a milestone birthday and as I'd saved up I wanted to go somewhere really special. So though we aren't used to a bill like that it felt well worth it. I was utterly delighted with my choice of venue and will definitely go back again. From a gluten free diner's perspective I was spoiled for choice. From an accessibility perspective I would call first - level changes and stairs throughout thanks to the age of the building. You can take kids in until 7pm I believe. There is a dress code. Booking emails carry lots of info on these and other matters. Online booking process...

Went here for a birthday and it was incredible!

The atmosphere is dark lighting with candles, with lots of booths so feels very private and luxurious. Food was excellent, we had everything from the monkfish, belly pork, lamb shank to house special fried rice and everyone really enjoyed their meal. One person said it was the best soup they’d ever had and another said the same about the house special fried rice. The portions were generous, too.

I got 2 different cocktails both of which were excellent and different to the usual cocktails restaurant serve. The menus also light up with LED lights which I have never seen before. Little things like that made it a special experience.

They brought me over an ice cream with a candle, sang happy birthday and gave me a birthday card.

The waitresses was fantastic, she was so attentive ensuring everyone had everything and they re-filled our waters multiple times. One of us has a nut allergy and they were brilliant in dealing with allergies.

Prices are expensive but for a treat or special occasion I would highly recommend this! Worth every penny. It’s one of the only restaurants I’ve been to recently where I didn’t mind the prices as it felt...

Its been a while since we last entered this establishment and were really disappointed that the service had gone badly down hill. We were a party of 6 and the service by poorly trained staff was bad. The food was not of the standard we would expect for the cost of £270. What was advertised as Christmas pudding with brandy sauce was not, it was hard to spot the tiny drop of cold sauce in the bowl with the tasteless pudding. The sticky Toffee pudding served by a waitress holding the bowl with her thumb inside the bowl so the person receiving the bowl had to hold from bottom which burnt her hand as it was seriously hot. No apology or concern for the person who burnt her hand. Staff either poorly trained or not interested in good service. Then there was cold coffee served. Overheard two customers who had arrived on time for their booking but had stood in the freezing cold ringing the bell to get in, as instructed on the website, for 30 mins but no one answered the door. The waitress never apologised and just kept repeating that as they were 30 mins late their table was not ready! What bad service. Felt we totally waisted our money and we shall...

Well, well, well! Been wanting to try this place for a while. Wasn’t super hungry so seeing that a lot of their main dishes were like £17/18 each and I didn’t want to have one and waste any so I thought I would just go for a couple of small plates and wow! They aren’t half small! I had a sweetcorn soup (Vege) £5.50 (£1) extra for chicken. I must admit it was a lot nicer than the average Chinese takeaway sweetcorn soup but come on! This is taking the p**s! I also had Scallop seaweed salad, which was 3 scallops, a tiny bit of seaweed and some dressing! The disappointment here was that they brought them both together. When you are paying £11.50 for a scallop dish you want them to be cooked fresh, there and then! By the time I’d eaten my soup they were soggy and cold. Made me quite nauseous eating them. All in all, Meh! Wouldn’t go again! Service was good but the prices make this a non return for me! And they had the nerve to put a 10% service charge on automatically (I paid cash too) so total bill (rip off) was £20.90 no drinks, 2 starters! Disgrace IMO! At least I got a posh lemon wipe and a chew it! FFS!

We visited Rabbit Hole once again, and as usual the food and service were outstanding. It was Valentine's weekend so food took a little longer than usual, but nothing crazy! We had the Dim Sum Tower and the Hoi Sin Shin Beef for our starters which were excellent, and the Special Fried Rice, Satay Chicken with egg fried rice and some Salt & Pepper Chips for our mains. Each dish was delicious, and the portions were quite generous - I'll be having the satay chicken for lunch tomorrow! Service was also very good, they take used plates and fill up water glasses at speed, and everything is just very seamless. Overall it was a fantastic visit, and for the 2 starters, 2 drinks, 2 mains plus the rice and chips we paid around £90 which is very reasonable based on the quality of the food. We will definitely be back again!

Superb dim sum and freshly prepared noodles and rice dishes in a stylish setting. The menu is not huge but what is on offer is carefully and skillfully prepared. The backroom bar and eating area's furnishings have an aura of Shanghai in the 1930s - turquoise velvet, tassels and dark wood. There is a less sumptuous but still stylish area, to eat and chat in, at the front of the restaurant as you enter. Delicious steamed prawn dumplings and Szechuan wontons in a savoury broth. Good selection of drinks. The Pu Erh was a perfect accompaniment to dim sum and my companion sipped coconut milk. Fair selection of wines, beers and spirits. Staff were charming and attentive. Despite the opulent surroundings the food is good value. Excellent!
