Couldn’t get in at a high collar spot across the street, and crossed over to Chef Bako’s! We were the lucky ones!!! We were greeted warmly by the Chef and staff! We each ordered the traditional Fish and Chips. Takes a few minutes to prepare, and then fry the fish and chips to a perfect brown and crispness. Served with a wedge of lemon, a cup of really, really good cocktail sauce, and a cup of Mashy peas (we had never tried them, and are fans now!). Price was reasonable , and the food was plentiful!!! We are here for 2 weeks and will definitely be back to see our new bestest friends!!! Looking forward to trying one of their pizzas!!!! Give it a try with friends, sit inside and relax at the table against the wall, and get to know Chef Bali and his...

First time trying this 22/7/23 and not a recommendation for me to try as I accidentally bumped into it as I was searching for food. Very glad I did bump into it as the food that was given to me was plentiful, tasty and good value for money and quality. The place has zero access for wheelchair users unfortunately but if you wanted to give it a try and accept the challenge to get in it would be worth it for the food. Staff were very good at their job. Conversation was flowing. They thought I was a tourist as this place gets a lot of them. But for all of the asks in this review I have given them five stars as they deserve it. I have attached photos of the shop front...

Just had dinner here after finding myself without dinner plans one night of my vacation to Edinburgh and I was craving some kebab. It ended up being good news for me!

This place is excellent! The food is fresh and flavorful, and cooked on a real grill (and tastes to match!). Everything is seasoned perfectly, plus the chef/owner is so very friendly.

There’s a small counter to eat in, which I did but I imagine they mostly do takeaway. I even saw you can order online!

My only regret is that my trip isn’t longer because I wish I could come back five more...

I had originally tried fish and chips for the first time in London prior to this shop and I originally thought that it was just a British flop. However, I was very wrong. After reading the other reviews of this place, and especially about the fish and chips, I figured it was worth a try. I was welcomed by the owner and he was super friendly and outgoing. It's a shame that I found myself to be the only one at the restaurant, since the fish and chips blew me away! The seating is definitely tight, but don't let that stop you from trying this place.
