Greggs — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Food ok but cleanliness like most Gregg's not great. Despite the cafe having only 2 customers & no-one else at the takeaway when we arrived the empty tables and chairs were all needing wiped, the floor was needing swept as covered in food and the dust and dirt around and on the card reader at the counter emphasised how long it had been since that area had been cleaned properly. The layer of dust on top of the toilet cistern showed how long since it had also been cleaned properly. My friend and I noticed these things as we were directed to Gregg's by a lady who lived locally as she said it was the nearest cafe to where we had parked (it was raining hard at the time) and also commented that Greggs was always very clean! Staff were so rude, refused to top my coffee up with warm milk, the steak bake was cold after asking for a hot one, after asking to be heated I was told 'we don't reheat anything for ANYONE' I was shocked and taken aback, so I sat to eat my half cup of coffee with a cold steak bake, sent a strong worded email to Gregg's!! Staff are slow and very blunt (to the point of rude), floors are disgusting and in need of cleaning, food on the tables and not hygenicly cleaned. The food cabinet on the right side had some black dirt down the side of it, may be mould, who knows. I got a chocolate eclair that tasted like water and my coke was pretty warm when taken out of the fridge. Really didn't enjoy the visit.
