Greenmantle Rum Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

OMG NOT GOING BACK. LOTS OF BETTER PLACES DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME Obvious drugs in the bar, from the bit of plastic and other obvious signs he smokes pot. Not been in in since the review below WONT GO BACK. THE WAY HE TREATED THIS WOMAN ! I saw a male junkie buy drinks etc be very polite but barred him for his friend outside ? I saw it all, extremely bad management 😕 I actually felt like complaining, he spoke to a lady with total arrogance. Speaking to people who live here, say it is the cap wearing management poorly kept, looks and mess, totally changed. I then saw that the lady had video footage, yet he barred her for nothing. She looked very well kept and her manner was very calm. Honestly this looks like a druggie bar. Won't go back. Also reporting to health & Safety due to the drug evidence in the toilets. Not cleaned not kept. Tbh this is somewhere that does need a new management the boy has bought the place and turned from a place a woman could go alone to a youth hostel for his pals. IMO genuine opinion. The food was terrible also, for the high price for fried cheaply bought frozen...

Greenmantle Bar & Kitchen was an absolute highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

We were lucky enough to catch some live music during our visit, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was lively, authentic, and full of that special Scottish pub charm you dream about before your trip.

The drinks were great, with a solid selection of local options.

If you're looking for that real Scottish bar experience, Greenmantle is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back next time...

Nice atmosphere, fantastic big screen for the rugby, cheap drinks, food a bit basic (but tasty nevertheless, no complaints about that). Kept trying to upsell spiced bacardi when I asked for Morgan's, no idea why, it's rot gut. Having a combination lock on the gents toilet cubicle made it a bit bizarre, I wasn't asking for the code to do a number two 😀.
