Unfortunately we had a horrible experience.. we stood for few minutes and waited for a table with no welcome from the staff, we then helped ourselves to sit. A waiter kept going back and forth and couldn't see that our table needed clearing from previous costumers. When I asked him if he could clear it, he took the plates and left napkins and the drink can! Had to ask the person at the till who came and cleared the rest, but not even sprayed the table (covid is still around!). We ordered the shawarma house mix plate with lamb and chicken shawarma, a chicken shawarma for my husband, chicken fatayer and baba ghanush with naan bread as a side. Well we ended up all having just the baba ghanuch which was bitter and too salty with the bread. The shawarma chicken my husband ordered was not fully cooked while mine was too dry and tasteless, absolutely tasteless. The lamb one was absolutely DISGUSTING, it felt like eating pure fat. The dressing bottles for the salad were so dirty that I had my bit of salad with nothing on. The chicken fatayer was eatable, nothing wow! All this for £36 then we had to go home and make a cheese sandwich!! The TV was too loud, floor slippy and next to the toilet lots of chairs were piled up at a considerable height which I felt ot was a hazard to anyone accessing the toilets. To summarize Dirty place where covid apparently doesn't exist, our table wasn't even wiped after other costumers and none of the staff wore a mask! Food was tasteless Staff unfortunately weren't welcoming at all, lacking costumer service skills

First time having Shawarma and it certainly won’t be the last. It was made very quickly and it tasted amazing. We could decide on the fillings. I went for mixed meat and salad which came with a choice of sauces. The portions were very generous (overflowing with meat) and the bread was very nice. Since this was my first time having this I can’t compare to anything else I have had before which may explain my high score. The only negative I would give is that I believe it would be nicer if they mixed the meat and the salad together because once you make your way through all the meat and sauce on the top, you end up with just the salad at the bottom which is ok but a bit bland. I suppose it wouldn’t be difficult to mix it all together prior to eating so I can’t fault it too much. As expected, being in city centre it was a little expensive but very big portions so works out to be pretty good value. Overall brilliant meal and I will definitely be...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Shawarma House is a fantastic spot for delicious, authentic Middle Eastern food. The menu offers a great variety of dishes, from classic shawarma wraps and grilled meats to fresh salads and vegetarian options. The flavors are rich and well-seasoned, and the portions are generous.

The restaurant has a casual and welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for a quick meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, and service is usually quick, even during busy times.

Tips for visitors: • Try the mixed platters if you want to sample a bit of everything. • Great takeaway option if you’re in a hurry. • Perfect for both lunch and dinner.

Overall, The Shawarma House is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic shawarma and Middle Eastern cuisine in a friendly and...

So while I’ve had the shawerma here, it was a while ago, and I’m not going to review it. I’ve been here a few times, and while the service didn’t leave me enchanted, I didn’t run into anyone rude. I’m reviewing the kebab, I really love it. The chips are always so tasty and wet (in a good way), the meat itself is very nice. It’s not perfect, but considering we’re in the UK, it’s a really good kebab. There was this one time when I ordered a full kebab platter, but it was late at night and I assume they had run out of all the ingredients, so I didn’t get the exact order I wanted. But they made up for it with extra food I didn’t order, so that was nice.

Best kebab place in Edinburgh! Bread freshly made, chicken and lamb always tender and seasoned well. Choice of kebabs, wraps and platters. Garlic and chilli sauce good as well. They also do kurdish pizza called fatayer. Service Friendly and quick, also ordered through just eat at home and always arrives before given time and is hot! Recommend the mixed shish (chicken and lamb) with chips, comes with bread on side as well.
