Loulou's — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Me and my partner visited 2 years ago for the first time. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and was impressed by all the options available to me. We both loved it. Today we wanted to go for a day trip and we decided to visit Queensferry again to go to this charming little place. We first got some cakes and a coffee for my partner. The carrot cake (gf and dairy free) was absolutely delicious! The coffee my partner had was so good that he bought a pack to take home. We then went around the town with the plan to return to get some cakes to take home. Ended up having an amazing gf and dairy free toastie which reminded me of my childhood and home (Slovenia), where we always used to grill the toast so that the cheese would melt over the ham 😊 the latte with coconut milk was also amazing. We ordered a slice of carrot cake and victoria sponge to take home so we can have a treat tonight after dinner. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making sure that my dietary needs were met. Had a little taste of the vegan ice-cream as well and will definitely be coming back in summer to enjoy it 🙂 our unborn daughter seemed impressed as well because as soon as I started eating, she started to kick away 😁

Would highly recommend to stop by and enjoy what they have to offer especially if you have any dietary needs as we all know how difficult it can be to find someplace to eat.

P.S Dogs are...

Went a few days ago. The icecream was lovely but had black bits throughout it and my boyfriend got a milkshake with an actual moth in it :) will not be back

So after the response from the owner here is what I have to say. The black bits in the vanilla ice cream did not bother me and tasted fine. That wasn’t the point of the review. I was not aware of the moth in the milkshake until after we had left the establishment. My boyfriend simply didn’t drink anymore once he found it and told me later as we were celebrating our anniversary and he didn’t want to dampen the mood. How about instead of insinuating I have ulterior motives just accept accountability? Not amazing customer service from yourself. Very disappointing...

What a Brilliant wee place parked here and walked to Railway bridge on way back wife wanted a coffee so we headed into Loulous for a couple of Flat whites saw some Cupcakes and thought they would go well with coffee so had a look round the shop while they were being made couldn't believe the amount of Ice cream got excited when I saw the rum and raisin so the owner gave me a taster and it was incredible.The little time we where in the shop the owner and his wife where very helpful loved the place I will go back because the Cupcake...
