Mimi's Bakehouse - Corstorphine — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

Absolutely phenomenal experience for my wife's birthday. Warmly greeted and looked after from the moment we got seated. We had our son with us and were asked if he required a high chair which they got for us. The lovely people working there not only made some food suggestions (the ultimate eggs benedict was a religious experience) when asked but they also brought out a surprise cupcake for my wife with an adorable candle.

They couldn't have been more accommodating or friendly. I forgot the name of the main person looking after us (sorry!) with the charm bracelet but she made my son laugh and took amazing care of us. The food and drink was 10/10 and made fresh to order. It was the best breakfast I've ever had.

Took my mum for tea for two on mothersday and we had a lovely time. I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't anything on the table saying the name of the place for photos. The brand is on the plates but its under the cakes so it was hard to show where we were. The food was delicious but I think we were maybe a scone each away from being full. I've never left tea for two with room in my tummy so that was something noticeable to me. The coffee was delicious too, creamy roast that wasn't too strong. Lovely lattes. Decor is nice but tables are too small - we were three at a table for four and there wasn't enough space for three drinks plus three food plates so we had to stack stuff up. I ordered the crumpet eggs Benedict, the crumpets didn't look like any crumpets I've had before and they were doughy and heavy, the eggs were overcooked, the bacon was like shoe leather. To top it all, I was at least looking forward to lashings of hollandaise, which can cover a multitude of sins, but there was only a wee, tottie spoonful on the plate!
