Must be one of the best carveries around. The value is amazing.Mon- Fri you can have a veritable feast for only £10.29 and its only a little more expensive at weekends.Today we got the citylink bus from Glasgow Buchanan St Bus hub.The bus drops you 3 mins walk from Toby at Costorphine. After dining, any Lothian bus passing the door will take you to Edinburgh Princes St. Centre. The food and service are just excellent. The lady serving us was most helpful. The roast consisted of 3 of 5 meats on offer .Portions are generous. Unlimited choice of amazing vegetables Carrots, Cauliflower cheese, Peas, Creamed cabbage,2 kinds of roast pots, creamy mash and crumbly stuffing with at least 6 sauces to accompany your meats all topped off with beautifully crisp Yorkshire Puds. An amazing feast( see Photo) in a nice comfortable atmosphere. A genuine good deal. There aren't many around. There are options to add starters and desserts at very reasonable costs. From 7am till 11am which we just missed out on, you can have an unlimited buffet breakfast for under £7🤪 This place is so worth a visit. I will travel all that way simply to return😇

Lets starts with the room review, we understand they put it into the highest room rates they could be because it’s because of the royal Edinburgh international festival, and this hotel was the cheapest in Edinburgh, the room is basic, the toilet is small, you cant close the loo’s door while you’re in the toilet you have stand aside to close it while your inside, shower is tiny, Service, if there is lesser than one star ill gave it to special mention Mrs Toby, the rest staffs are okey. I feel the service of Mrs Toby is just for English and Scottish only, it happen when we ask to leave our luggage first before checking in because we are too early arriving at the hotel, she was okey serving , until i forget something from my luggage and i need to take them again, ( i understand the fact that it’s annoying) but you should maintain a customers service, I myself apologise for being a pain, but while apologising she impersonated me … and that day she makes my whole day bad. . I told myself not all people are nice even how we tried to be nice to them. Location, not bad bus stop is just at the front of the hotel. 20mintues walk to the nearest tram station Saughthon .

Updated (11/9/23) Haven't been to Edinburgh West TC for a while. They've had a refurbishment and it was definitely needed. The place looks much better, more spacious more welcoming just a better restaurant. More importantly the food was spot on, Gammon is my go to and it never lets me down succulent delicious full of flavour. The family has mixtures I'd the other meats, Pork, Turkey and Gammon again and it all went down well. The roast potatoes were alright, the mash was good, the macaroni cheese was lovely as were all the vegetables. The Yorkies were Amazing though! They've definitely improved then as I used to absolutely hate TC Yorkshire puddings whereas now I'm devouring them! We also had the refillable juice and it was as good as ever. Highly recommended.

Just your bog standard toby carvery. Cheap and cheerful, lovely gammon and desserts. The mojito I got was sub par- no mint to be seen! Barely even a mojito. Bottomless drinks is a vibeeee the Brownie was a certified slayyy and the hot chocolate fudge cake with custard was “not subtle or nuanced”, but does melt in the mouth, with a sweet and chocolaty taste. I enjoyed the umami of the gravy, and the mouthfeel of the mashed potato. The roast potatoes were vying for dominance, but the beef dripping roast potatoes came out on top. The green beans were well sautéed. The water had lime in it it was a welcome surprise. We would compare this to a class 185- timeless decor and adequate windows, and very comfortable seating. I like that the exit sign is blue and not green.
