Sing to me, O muse, how the seasons of my hunger did play upon my gut and mind in wrathful synthesis! The winter of an empty gut did freeze my palate and yearn betwixt my lips for the sweet release of spring!
How the trees did blossom gaily on Forrest road as the spring of my hunger beckoned (a metaphor: there are minimal trees on Forrest road) at the site of a burrito monger plying his wares. Neat was the shop front, neat was the interior, and, dear reader, neat was the sumptuous packaged food, so sweet was the artful hands of the burrito maestro as they fold, ply and package. A sight that would bring a tear to any weary traveller’s eye. O, indeed, did the spring beckon fresh tidings, in kind service of not just any Tortilla but the Tortillissimo of all the beauty of their many franchised establishments. The pinnacle of their corporate success. Who ever thought that the tree of corporate bureaucracy could bear such sweet, rice-laiden fruit? Not I, dear reader! But how how delighted in my own erroneous assumption I am!
And so, did summer ever dawn upon my palate as I dined. The sweet and rosy reddened dawn of chorizo, the green and lavish guac upon my tongue, the o delightfully delectable sour cream - a hedonistic, yet far from sinful, assortment of olfactory and gustatory delights. A meal so divine it could be served on a chariot pulled by Bacchus and his macular ‘pards. The hands that made these may be of mortal, but they had the art and craft of the divine!
And so, did autumn come, but it was far from mournful. The last auburn tint of Mexican rice did grace my satisfied tongue once more. A single tear of joy and longing did fall from down my cheek. It was over, but i beseech you, dear reader, make no mistake, it shall not be long before I return. For whenever the wind does rustle the thickets like the rolling package foil, whenever the blades of grass do stir like Gaia’s bowl of rice, when the billowing pines and their needles do stir in unison upon the hill tops like a some great bowl of Forrest guacamole, my mind and heart shall whisper and yearn, “O Tortilla, my Tortilla, Forrest Road”.
So hurry quick and hurry fast you traveller, passing by, and tell your hunger that here with satisfying service and wheat packaged delights can...
Read moreI ordered on Sunday evening at around 7.20pm , the food arrived at 8.45pm delivered by Kamal on a bike so it was stone cold ! Also all drinks were missing , large burrito missing , dips missing and both large bowls that did arrive were wrong ! The receipt on the bag had everything marked off so I believe somehow the receipt was on the wrong bag . I put in for a refund from Uber which was rejected and impossible to speak to someone and the restaurant take no responsibility as I ordered through Uber . I'll never use Uber again for food or taxis and would advise others to do the same as if the orders wrong nobody takes...
Read moreGrabbed a quick bite for lunch. The food was okay, the tacos lacked a bit of flavour. What they could improve is to give you a pre-set options to choose from with ingredients, as otherwise you can make it yourself and if you do not know what to choose you need to ask them to create something (that's what we did). So perhaps the choices by the server were not the best for ingredients, as 3 tacos, seemed almost the same. Anyways, for a quick lunch, good...
