Returned to this old café after coming home back from New Zealand the last owner Helen was great proper food and good service. But this new owner some Turkish bloke served me a cold breakfast and the sausage looked mouldy, now I am not one for complaining but I did since it was well passed its sell by date horrible and what do I get abuse ! Told that he should have never opened up here and Leith is full of scumbags and to go elsewhere ! Now I am by no means a scumbag I have a degree in archaeology and I can tell when food is out of date !!!!!! stay well clear...

The proprietor was on her own, serving breakfasts like a good 'un without drama, even when she received an order for 20+ filled rolls, at which point she closed the cafe with us in it so she could fill the order in peace. It used to be a good old fashioned greasy spoon with excellent food at good prices . Now the prices have gone up the portion size is half what it used to be.
