A very good first experience! We came here for the first time because I had heard good things about Wingstop. We ordered "the flavour fix boneless," which had a nice variety of things to try. We tried flavours: Original, Spicy Korean Q and Hickory Smoked BBQ. Out of the 3, I enjoyed the Korean Spicy Q the most. I didn't find it spicy, but it had a nice flavour. I found the BBQ sauce a little overpowering on the Hickory Smoked BBQ because of the amount of sauce over it, but it was still tasty nonetheless.
Because we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we ordered another "flavour fix," but this time with wings. We tried it in flavours: Hawaiian, Louisianna Rub and Atomic. Again, they were all tasty, but Atomic was surprisingly quite spicy; it had a slow spice release that doesn't hit you at first but slowly gets you the more you eat it. Despite this, it was still somewhat bearable, although I struggled a little bit as someone who typically has a higher spice tolerance.
For the chips, we tried them in wingstop style and Lemon Pepper. Both had a lovely crispy exterior and a warm and soft interior. You cannot go wrong with that!
The honey mustard dip was probably my favourite thing, as it was so flavourful and went exceptionally well with all flavours. The service was also fantastic. We were checked up on several times and were aided when ordering; they really accommodated us well.
Overall, we had a great time; the food was tasty, and the service was great. We'll definitely be...
Read moreWingstop at St. James Quarter in Edinburgh, isn’t a restaurant so much as a proposition. It leans into you, all brazen confidence and swagger, like a fella in a tight shirt at the end of the bar, knowing you’re looking. You don’t come here for sustenance; you come for the thrill of it, the messy, saucy indulgence of wings so dripping they leave your lips shining.
You’ll order a basket of boneless, and they’ll land before you, glistening and eager, each one coated in its own bold personality. There’s the sharp, tangy bite of Lemon Pepper, daring you to stay on your toes. The Smoky BBQ, slow and smouldering, all swagger and depth. Mango Habanero winks at you with sweetness before hitting you with its fiery grin. They’re all there, laid out like contenders in some gladiatorial arena, begging to be devoured.
You lean forward, taking one in your hand, its sticky warmth spreading through your fingers. You bite, the crunch giving way to tender heat, the spice licking at your tongue. It’s impossible to be clean about it. This is a meal that insists you surrender.
The place itself is all brash energy, a neon-lit temple to appetite. The lads behind the counter are cheerful, cocky, and knowing. They hand you your tray with a nod that says, Go on, have at it. And you do. It’s messy, tactile, utterly primal. When it’s over, you’re left a little breathless, the ghost of heat lingering on your lips. You don’t regret it....
Read moreEvery time I had wingstop I would always buy the boneless chicken with the bbq and Hawaiian flavours and it would always taste amazing, but 4 days ago when I went to try out the 5 garlic parmesan chicken tenders for the first time and only ate 3 of them as I gave the other two to my two siblings each. The next day I woke up and I was making breakfast until my stomach started to ache badly and I thought it was stomach cramps as I didn’t get my period yet but it was way worse than that. The pain started to get worse and I start to sweat and feel really dizzy as I was trying to get to the bathroom. This never happened before, and I ended up pooing and vomiting out the chicken I had the day before. It was the worse feeling ever and I wish to never have experience that again, I’m not sure if the chicken tenders weren’t cooked properly or something was added to the tenders that made me feel sick that time but I’m honestly never buying wingstop again, I can’t trust that place anymore after what happened to me. I should have taken a picture of the chicken tenders but that’s probably not enough proof that this...
