I chose this place because it said it was dog friendly, and I wanted to let some dogs, but the people were so wonderful, too!💚💚💚 the regulars were so kind and friendly, and the bartender, Rachel, was exceptionally kind and fun to talk with. I went a couple times during my visit, and whenever I am back I will be going here again! Everyone was helpful in giving me advice and tips on where to go and what was open, and the best way to get places. Great little pub! I will remember...

Would have been higher score than the three star, but needs to be come into the 21st century with card and NFC payments. Ordered five pints only to be told when they were all poured "cash only". My go to local since 2007, I cannot rate this pub highly enough. The quality of pint is quite literally award winning; almost annoyingly so - you go out in town and usually end up back here as the pint of Heverlee is that good.
