Nice pub, very heavy on the locals and obviously the place to get a pint in the evening. Dog friendly inside with a courtyard which is quite basic but has maybe 9-10 large tables. Was quite loud inside so we opted to eat outside and managed to avoid any direct sun or rain (no covers/shade in the courtyard). We had the fish and chips which was perfectly cooked, and the puff pastry topped steak pie which was rich & perfectly balanced.

A lovely little Inn set in the Market Square of Stow-on-the-wold.. Staff friendly and helpful and friendly atmosphere. Had food which was really nice and hot and value for money. Plenty of parking in the square. This is set with other nice surrounding shops and a lodge. The town centre has a nice variation of shops. Would definitely use this Inn again and recommend

We spent a lovely evening here recently whilst visiting Stow-on-the-Wold. What a lucky find! Lovely old pub with bags of charm and character with a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were really friendly, food and service were excellent. Highly recommend. Call and book a table for food (no online booking) as it's quite rightly very popular with the locals!

Having been undecided as to where to eat on holiday on Stow on the Wold, our final menu browse was The Queens Head Inn and the menu looked enticing. Wasn't sure how welcoming it was going to be but had no reason to be concerned at all. The ladies behind the bar were lovely and friendly- very quick at serving. The drinks were great along with amazing serving of food- we had the sea bass and the vegan burger. Great side salad and veg and all round scrummy! We just about had enough room to share a pudding so went for the sticky toffee pudding and custard and it was perfect! Only slightly disappointing that there were no decaff cappuccino/latte but a minor point in comparison to everything else. The pub itself is rich in character and is cozy - perfect as a retreat from the winter weather outside....

We had a fantastic dinner at The Queens Head this evening. Walked into a lovely buzz, you could tell this little pub was popular with the locals, we received a friendly greeting, and then seated in a lovely quieter area for our meal which was nice as you could have a conversation but still had the lovely atmosphere! We booked earlier in the day and so glad I found it! The prices were really reasonable and the food was lovely. Husband has the fish n chips, I had the steak burger, both really really good! I wouldn't hesitate going back and would tell family and friends about it! If you're after a local pub, with very good food & a cosy, friendly atmosphere this place is perfect! And for our dogs too! Thank you Queens head, you were exactly what I hoped for on...

We ordered duck liver n pork pate as starter, slowly roasted shank of lamb as main, both were not up to our expectation as Easter day lunch out, though portion are quite big. Then i accidentally dropped my scarf/snood on the floor n left behind when i left the restaurant, i was sitting outside the restaurant on the bench deciding for next destination to be for quite a while, then i went in again to use the rest room b4 my next stop. Shortly after v left, i realised the scarf/snood was left behind, return back, but the staff responded not seen at all, which is quite impossible, as the restaurant was not busy on the day and at that time, a few tables was not occupied went we left as well. I wonder where can that big size scarf or snood can have...
