WOW, what a tearoom!! My boyfriend and I visited a few weeks back, and paid for the afternoon tea in advance. We informed them that I was gluten free and my boyfriend is lactose intolerant (not an easy crowd!) and they went above and beyond!! We both had specialised teas - mine had all gluten free foods, GF sandwiches, cakes, cheese and sweet scones, pork roll, quiche etc - and my boyfriend had all lactose free, including delicious dairy free cream for his scones!! It’s an amazing place for those with intolerances - and the staff were absolutely lovely. We even went again in our trip because it was that good - definitely worth a visit!!! 🤩

the perfect place to stop for tea or lunch if visiting moreton-in-marsh. the courtyard was so beautiful and the service was quick. everything tasted fresh and homemade. the quiche was beautifully caramelized and absolutely loaded with onions, and the scones were perfect—flaky and tender and flavorful and not at all dry. i had been wanting a classic english scone with cream while visiting and this was exactly what i was looking for. lovely beverage selection as well. we were just traveling through but i wish i could come back again...in a town full of little cafes and tea rooms im sure you can’t do better. such a lovely experience.

What a sweet little find this is, right on the high street of Moreton in Marsh. There are plenty of options for coffee and breakfast in the neighborhood, but this place stood out. If you’re looking for character, lovely service, good food and a proper flat white, then this is your place. My family and I tried the pancakes with yogurt, the eggs Benedict, the full English, and the avocado toast. We all left happy and properly caffeinated, and with full bellies! Dog friendly inside, which was so lovely and helpful especially on a drizzly morning.

Tried this café recently and had mixed feelings. The food was tasty and the service was genuinely excellent—friendly and attentive throughout. Their white mocha is a standout and definitely worth trying.

However, there was a serious issue with the gluten-free labeling. I ordered a “gluten-free breakfast” which came with regular gluten bread. This could be dangerous for anyone with a gluten allergy or coeliac disease. When asked, staff didn’t seem fully aware of the risk. If you require a strict gluten-free diet, I’d recommend avoiding until they clarify their menu and kitchen practices.

The space is also quite small, and when a couple of people brought in dogs, it quickly became cramped. Cozy, yes—but not ideal during busy periods especially with a couple of wet dogs in the space . A great café for coffee lovers without dietary restrictions, but disappointing (and potentially harmful) for those who need...

This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we wanted to get the full authentic afternoon tea experience as we've never had it before and let me tell you booking at Rixy's was the best choice we could have made!

The afternoon tea had to be ordered and paid for in advance because they are making the food fresh to order which I think is fantastic! When we arrived, we had a really warm welcome and the staff were so friendly. There was basically no wait to have our drinks order taken and the food arrived promptly after.

In terms of the food, this place is such a treat! The afternoon tea here was divine. Everything was freshly baked, the ingredients they used were extremely fresh and the food tasted amazing, I honestly wouldn't change a thing. I would highly recommend coming here for afternoon tea or even lunch when you get a chance, you will...

After 100 or so miles traveling and 100 more to go we needed a break. We stopped at a pull in off the high street and Parkes right outside this little tea room. There were a couple of tables out front and we found this perfect to watch the bike and luggage. A quick look at the menu on the window and we were sold. My wife had the ploughman's and I had a bacon and brie sandwich with cranberry. Both meals were tasty and presented well. Washed down with a couple of coffees and off we went. The staff were pleasant and the food came quickly. There was a good selection of drinks. Noticing inside there was also a thruway to a rear courtyard. I wished I had of investigated further. Maybe if we ever...
