Arches Venue — Restaurant in Coventry

First time visiting this venue, came to see StOp StOp! & Midnite City. Location unfortunately let them down for us especially if your not local. It's situated on an industrial estate. Our taxi (Uber) got lost too. It's sign posted once off the main road - Theres nothing after that. We ended up going passed where we should have turned right and nearly got locked in another section. We arrived by going down a side alley with directions from a worker on site. The venue is laid out with benches outside which was a nice touch.... Inside is a very small bar (room) there's no queue system for ordering drinks , which was a nightmare, only one was serving. I tried twice turned away the first time waiting- was put off ordering more.

The gig room was alright nothing special, did what it needed to - providing a stage for bands to perform but did seem small. I don't think this venue could handle well known bands that would bring alot of people in considering the size of the place, which is a shame. The building is just two rooms really, not including the toilets at the back where entertainment takes place, but we're clean and tidy.

Would recommend Air Con or a fan system be put in though, as it got way too hot inside.

Overall... Venue is OK for what it provides. Not a bad review but location could be better...

Thanks for a great night, seeing StOp StOp! Was the highlight of my night, seen them twice and they ROCKED your venue for sure!!! Recommend anyone to take notice of this band you won't regret it. They will blow...

Had a great family birthday Party at the Arches fantastic venue,outside space a God send in this heat wave. The bar staff were professional and very friendly definitely service with a smile. The room is a great size we had about 80-90 people there and accommodated them all with no issues. There is lots of space for a DJ and a dance floor. The owner was brilliant sorted the room as we requested went out of his way to help us from setting up till we left , he also asked the chef to come so our guest could buy hot food if they required some, excellent prices for huge burgers! It’s well known as a music venue putting on some great acts but also has rooms to hire, good size car park. Many of our guests said what a great place for a night out many are going back for the Rave that’s on there in September. Big thank you to the owner and staff for a fabulous...

A regular place that I visit.all genre of live music,60s 70s 80s cover bands,ska to heavy metal,and every thing between.situated just out of the city centre in a large snooker hall,hiden away under old railway arches,can be difficult to find as it is not well signposted but all taxi drivers know it. 10 minute walk from the city centre,and on several bus routes.normally finishes quite late so there is no bus service and booking a taxi is advised its in need of a revamp,but it is still loved by music lovers two well stocked bars,not a lot of seating as it is mainly used for dancing/viewing.all on one level,with a large outdoor seating/smoking area.inexpensive normally 10 to 15 pound entrance . recomended if you want to get very close to your chosen band.friendly...
