What an amazing hidden gem! If you have even a remote interest in the history of the city and it's people then his is a must. They are only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays due to being entirely run by volunteers. They have no funding and are entirely supported by donations, only asking for a megre £2 entry. The gentlemen who were there today were friendly and incredibly informative. We got so much more from our visit because of the interaction so do make the most of it if you go! The museum is set in three cottages which were part of an old court (the city used to be full of them) the buildings are as fascinating as the objects inside. It's not just watches on display but many other household items which will bring back memories for many of us. Read moreExcellent attraction with very knowledgeable volunteers. We found it by accident in the September Heritage Week. Why was it not advertised by the council? The story covers so much more than clocks. It's a social history of the community covering domestic life and the blitz, but focusing on the technical skills of adults and children who created these functional works of art in small rooms, without the aid of technology. Also praiseworthy is what this group of volunteers have achieved in restoring the buildings and creating this fabulous museum. We stayed so long that we ended up having lunch in the area. This museum , which was original watchmaker cottages offers an insight into the heritage of the city's watchmaking industry. Alongside this is comprehensive displays of retro and vintage items of yesteryear and a specific place which houses memorabilia of world war II and the Coventry Blitz.
