Toros steakhouse Coventry — Local services in Coventry

Went on a date night to toros Coventry with my fiancé expected it to be just like the other toros branches but unfortunately this branch was disgraceful as ordered 2 special steaks come out burnt, staff were too eager to clean up and close. Tried to get attention of waiters but we’re too busy with cleaning duties didn’t want to make a fuss at the time so like any other professional restaurant you go and make a complaint anytime a day later or a week should not make a difference as I had proof of eating there, I called up and spoke to a lady manager who didn’t want to give her name and was told you can address me as a manager, also firstly mentioned that we don’t even believe this complaint and I explained I had recorded the food and you can happily check your cameras to see how our food went back nearly full but didn’t want to compromise with anything would not recommend this branch absolutely unacceptable customer service and the manager is very unprofessionals as her tone of voice started rising and was getting frustrated. Everyone has there own self respect and at that time I felt embarrassed and didn’t want to make a fuss as she was done with the burnt food and just wanted to leave, as soon as walked out the restaurant the lights turned off so it really confirmed that they we’re in a...

So, apparently this chain is a reputable chain but upon eating the food, I was highly disappointed. Can I just say, maximum price we would pay for this food would be £12-14. The vegetables are obviously frozen veg, the mash is also obviously instant mash and the steak, don’t get me started on that rubbery piece of meat. The presentation looked like it was done by a toddler, i can say the only best thing that was edible was the spicy sauce that didn’t even come with the meal.

I don’t know why you’d slather on peppercorn sauce over the steak and ruin the presentation. I recommend putting it in a pot and letting the customer serve the sauce as they please.

Not to mention the “spicy sweet potato fries” which were just shredded cheese, onions and a slather of TOMQTO KETCHUP which we refused to eat as it was just disgusting and looked so gross.

We spent the same amount we could’ve spent at Farmhouse which is WAY better quality, service and food.

0:10 - wouldn’t recommend to anyone or anything, wouldn’t feed it to a dog and probably gonna suffer immensely tomorrow if you know...

Went a few times, waitering was very rough und unprofessional at first, Your coke is served in its can with a straw sticking through the top, very tacky! But food was nice, until i found an insect in there on our 6th visit... upon bringing it to their attention, i was expected to carry on eating my steak on its own while they bring out some more sides??? Couldnt touch the steak after that and the sides when they finally arrived, my fellow eater had been put off by this point an left half of theirs, went to the desk, no sorry, no effort to compensate, better still, had the nerve to ask for all the bill, i said i aint paying for something with insects in it, " oh well give you a discount on that one" lol... your not hearing me, im telling you im not paying for 2, your lucky if i pay for 1... oh il speak to the manager, manager couldnt even be bothered to come out and see the customer who was fed an insect!!! Paid for one and left.

Never ever again, stay well clear, totally unprofessional and disgusting, shame you cant find decent food...
