Given a lengthy 4 hour journey before I arrived I was shocked to see such an untidy setting with tables left uncleared and a largely disinterested workforce. I asked and asked if I could sit in a quiet area, as a single lady and was left with a few ‘finger’s’ pointed at seats which could be used. Non were inviting so I chose to sit at the bar.
I ordered a glass of pink Prosecco and the Cheese Board. All delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you.
However, once again I had disinterested staff stand the other side of my bar position, eating biscuits, complaining about their day, slamming cutlery from the dishwasher into decanted containers. When I asked if I could please just finish my good, I hit a tongue lashing from the young lady member of the team. ‘I’m doing my job’ she chastised me with. Understandable yo s point, but, I’d paid £40 to sit in a quiet area to eat a sample of food. The lady member of the waiting staff complained to her manager, who was stood there quietly observing her. I asked if I could just finish my food? Again she huffed and puffed. I am the customer here surely. I was sitting minding my own business. Where is the quality of service? Is this ‘exclusive’ eatery with its untitled attitude, culture and lack of respect all we should tolerate? I saw the bill and asked for the service check be removed. The manager kindly did so.
Absolutely shocking and quite frankly abysmal. Avoid if you don’t want yo feel completely topped off and nothing but an inconvenience...
Read moreExcellent experience from beginning to end! Host and waitress were fantastic: smiley, professional, knowledgeable and hard working. I had the seafood mac & cheese. Mac & cheese is usually not at all of my taste, but this one wasn't overcooked, had lots of sauce and seafood, and the cheese didn't overpower the taste of the seafood. It came with a fresh and crunchy side salad and a dressing that was a delight (lemony but not overpowering). I also had a perfect peach Bellini, served in an appropriate glass. I wasn't going to have dessert, but the main was so good that I ended up trying the triple chocolate dessert that was an absolute delight, very indulgent and freshly made. A lady near me had the salmon with bread and the presentation was flawless, as much as my food was. She seemed happy. I asked for the dessert and the bill at the same time, as I was about to go to my gate, and the waitress listened and did exactly as I asked. As I was leaving, the host wished me a good flight. Perfect experience, I can't fault absolutely anything....

Awful food. I ordered the bacon and brioche - it was like last nights food. I ordered and within 5mins the food arrived; it was cold. The bread seemed like it was left open the whole night and reheated to have that “burnt” look. The bacon was cold and didn’t taste fresh. It’s really disappointing. They have not put the appropriate food preparation nor taken the customer’s experience of the meal. It’s not worth £8.50 nor the additional service charge.
The staffs looked my way a few times with the barely touched food and didn’t say a word. After I paid my bill asked for the review card, they asked if everything was okay. I said I wasn’t happy with the food and they were reluctant to then give the review card for the QR code. They then blamed me for not saying anything and tried to issue me refund - that will cause me delay to my boarding.
That’s not an experience you want first thing in the...
