Loving Hut — Restaurant in Crawley

Me and my partner discovered this place today, it really is a hidden gem! We thought we would have to travel to Brighton for some good vegan food but this place is just absolutely amazing. They have a great selection to cover breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is very fresh, a lot of the little bits are homemade including their cakes which are hands down the best bits of cake we’ve ever had!!

We opted for their special which on the day was a Ve Double Burger with cheese, the portions were great and the burgers made out of soy protein tasted incredible!

It’s lovely and clean in there, the staff are so friendly, especially the lady who served us and recommended their homemade Pandan cake (it was the first time we tried it and we will definitely be back for more) and it’s all very reasonably priced!

Can't believe it's taken me this long to review... Southgate Loving hut is hands down my favourite restaurant of all time. The food is all freshly made and absolutely delicious, still working my way through the dishes but everyone yet has left me feeling satisfied and with one very happy tummy. As well as the gorgeous food and generous portions, the staff are second to none. Pam, the lady who owns the restaurant is so so lovely and has always gone out of her way to make me and my Nan feel comfortable and welcome. This kindness and friendliness goes for all the staff who lovingly serve and help prepare the meals. Second time ordering from here and the food is consistent. They have an extensive vegan menu offering a variety of protein options from tofu to imitation meat/fish.

The veg chow mein is a good portion size and is freshly made. It isn't too greasy and has a good amount of fresh vegetables in it. It is mild in flavour and with no heat.

The spring rolls are nice and fried to perfection. They come with a small amount of sweet chilli sauce.

The satay skewers taste great but were fairly chewy and could do with more sauce.

The food comes packaged in non-recyclable 🚫♻️ plastic lined cardboard and there is still the use of plastic tub for sauces.

Delivery has been within 30 mins from ordering on both occasions and the food has arrived warm.
