My recent family visit to Nando's left me feeling utterly disappointed and disgusted with the unprofessional and racist behavior displayed by their restaurant manager, Vanna. What should have been a delightful dining experience turned into a distressing ordeal, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.
Not only did the restaurant manager, display an unprofessional, rude, and racist attitude during our visit to Nando's, but she also exhibited an unhelpful demeanor when we requested a table change to celebrate our daughter's birthday.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we had informed the host about the special occasion and requested a more spacious table to accommodate our family. Instead of being understanding and accommodating, she responded rudely, making it clear that our request was nothing but an inconvenience to her. This despite two tables were empty and available for us to shift to. When we politely asked again if there was any chance of changing the table, Vanna flat out refused, stating that they were fully booked (even though it was evident that this was not the case). Her unhelpful and dismissive response left us feeling dejected and unvalued as customers.
As a manager, she should have understood the importance of accommodating customer requests, especially when it comes to celebrating a child's birthday.
Nando's should be ashamed to have someone like her in a position of authority, as her unprofessionalism and unhelpful demeanor have tarnished the restaurant's reputation.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Nando's to anyone until they take immediate action to rectify the situation and remove Vanna from her position. As customers, we deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of our backgrounds. Read moreThis must be the worst Nandos I've ever been to. They had the staff but they were drove by laziness. Big que outside, free tables and no one was bothering to sit the customers, when someone decided to come outside in the end it took another 10 minutes to be lead inside only to be given a table that still had food bits all over the floor, under the chairs and table. When I pulled the chair and showed them the mess (I am really sorry I didn't manage to take a picture of it) we were given another table and to the previous table they sat 2 kids without even cleaning the floor first. And that was the situation all over the restaurant floor,food bits all over. And the chairs, oh my God, the chairs, disgustingly dirty, I moved mine with my leg so that I don't have to touch it and and those lights looked like they haven't been cleaned since the restaurant opened. Buy some other chairs if you must, preferably wooden ones so that at least customers don't have to be disgusted when entering the restaurant. We were too hungry and if I would've told my autistic son that I wanted to leave he would've had a meltdown so we decided to stay. The food was nice and hot thankfully and that made a bit of a difference otherwise that would've been the last straw. All in all you could definitely see the lack of good management. My husband told me to let it go as I wasn't working, I was there as a customer but this was very disappointing and will definitely not go back there...
Read moreThis was asuprise birthday meal for me with my children and family (11 of us) Where do I start ! So firstly we was greeted nicely and walked to our table. We all looked at our menus and then all ordered one after the other (couples) straight after each other , unfortunately we was given dirty glasses and when we told a member of staff we was told that it’s the dishwasher that doesn’t clean then probably, then my son noticed food still on his folk, again was just told it's the dish washer (if you aware of this get a new one or get members of staff to wash or check items) . So when our food was brought out 30mins apart from each couple the food was wrong , we had told them of food Allergies for a certain meal and it came out with everything on it , we also ordered chicken breast meat in our pittas and got different, this was a complete different experience to what we are use to in many other nandos this place was terrible.
I was totally shocked the way this place was being run, the manageress was in fact quite rude and just walked away from us leaving a waitress to try and deal with the problems everyone was like headless chickens ;) but on a serious note we didn’t receive any apologies for our experience, a great shame as we visit nandos a lot but not no more !
