Credit where Credit is due the food was beautiful, the service was quick and efficient and being able to eat indoors makes so much difference.
All of the food we ordered we cannot fault, the presentation was great, the food was hot and everything looked fresh and so appealing.
The waitress that was serving us was lovely and really informative and really helpful.
The only bad point I can say is that on 2 occasions we have visited there has been no ribs, but im assuming they are so good they fly out quickly.
After tonight's visit we will definitely be back as it was a great experience, I urge anyone that had a poor experience with the outdoor dining to definitely give it another go eating inside as totally different experience.
I really wish you lots of success in the coming months after such a bad impact on the industry and thank you for giving us the opportunity to revisit. ORIGINAL POST BELOW -
This was our 1st ever visit but has heard lots of good things.
We went on a Thursday evening at 5.30 a family of 5 and was seated near the play area.
The seating was in need of repair as was broken and splintered and the table was really wonky.
We waited half hour for our drink order to be taken and the lady that served us wasn't very friendly and gave the impression she didn't want to be there.
We ordered our starters which came out at 6.45pm which were all OK but my husbands had been forgotten.
Our main meals came out at 7.20 and by this point is was quite chilly outside and we were getting slightly impatient as had been there for near on 2 hours.
When the main meals arrived they wasn't very warm, we was given a steak meal rather than ribs as they had no ribs and the sweetcorn was rock solid.
Overall it wasn't a great experience for what we paid which was around £100 but I'm putting it down to outside dining and the...
Read moreIt took us a long time to eat because we didn't know about ordering at the bar, even though I'd asked the staff when we arrived if we could just sit anywhere, obviously never having been there before, which would have been the perfect time to let us know.
My daughter loved the chicken wings with BBQ sauce, raved about them and simply couldn't get enough. I would have ordered her more but felt uncomfortable staying longer after what happened with my order.
I had the nachos, which arrived cold with unmelted shredded cheese, obviously never having been heated. I told the bartender, who at first tried to convince me I was wrong, then acted very annoyed when I pointed out the menu did say the cheese was in fact supposed to be melted, and then snatched them away without a word. She later brought the same half-eaten nachos back to our table, now hot with melted cheese added - and the remaining sour cream, salsa and other toppings meant to be cold, now all hot as well! I would rather have received a refund or a fresh order, but was never given these options.
I also thought it was strange that the bartender made a big deal out of asking whether the wings were an appetizer or entree, so they would know when to bring them out, but then insisted the dessert absolutely couldn't be brought at the end of the meal instead of with the meal. But I'm sure that wasn't her fault. It was just one of many communication issues.
I would go back for takeaway if possible but dining in was stressful. The place seemed really understaffed, at best, and the staff seemed really stressed. Maybe would consider it on a weekday. But prices were very reasonable and there was parking, even on a Saturday night. It's also nice that kids are allowed before 9pm, although the toilets weren't clean enough for me to want my child to use them. It's also very loud, due to the music and drunk people screaming and singing at the bar, which made my daughter need to cover her ears. Not a criticism, just a heads up to anyone bringing kids (or adults) with...
Read moreWent here for some food. Was staying at the Travelodge at Dartford. The pub has a nice feel and the staff are friendly and helpful.. There are a few village idiots in the bar area. Very load and not really the behavior I would expect from grown adults. A good selection of lager at really good prices. I ordered food at 7:30. I ordered the 24oz rump steak, medium . I was told it would be 30 mins as they where busy.. This was fine I told the bar staff. After 10 mins my food arrived.. Now I eat steak 2-3 times a week and know my stuff... For a start as the steak is so big maybe a plate would be better to serving it on not some two half sizzleing plate which is impossible to cut on and the steak flops over the middle.. if you served it on a plate you would be able to get the chips and sides on it as well instead of it being served on two plates. Gravy with steak..??? Really..?? who came up with that..?? Your over complicating things. Fried onions and onion rings...?? Again...What..?? The problem here is your selling oversized, over complicated meals for a low price. Leading people to think there getting value for money.. Big news guys..!! Your not..!! I asked for my steak medium.. it came rare.. VERY rare..!! I can see now why the meal was £16.. The cut of rump was terrible..! The worst I think I have ever had.. Full of gristle and fat... You have a large steak menu but your chef can't cook steak for toffee.. What's going on there....?? Are you sure you haven't hired the local dinner lady by mistake.. ? The best thing about the meal was the chips and the peas... I took the rest of the steak, 3/4 that I couldn't eat for my dogs to eat.
Quality of meat.... 0/10 Presentation.........0/10 Staff.................. 10/10 Value...
