Tortilla Bluewater — Restaurant in Dartford

Used to be good, but went today, all new staff I would assume, they were spilling ingredients everywhere. They ended up being spilt into different trays (spilling the different rices into the different dishes, different oils were spilt over the salads and even onto the cheese….), spilt around the x2 burritos I had ordered and very few ingredients made it into the burritos. They were very stingy on all the ingredients for the get go today…

One of the things I loved about going to tortilla for the past 10 years or so at bluewater was that they really crammed the ingredients in, it looked painful when they had to wrap them up. But that’s what made you feel like you were getting a good amount of value.

Anyway when they were wrapping them up these 2 large burritos were so light on filling the entire wrap was encased twice by the tortilla and they were floppy as there was so little inside of them. I questioned this as they wrapped the first one and said am I being charged for 2 small tortillas then? But they just stared at me with their gobs hanging wide open as though I’d just insulted their mothers and they replied “nah they large innit”. Due to my experience today I’ve lost hope and won’t be going back. I’ll be going to Wasabi, Leon, and the Indian Wrap place which are all a few seconds away, since they’re infinitely better value and the staff actually receive some kind of training… unlike the shambles I unfortunately endured at...

First but worst experience of a taco! Not at all like they are supposed to be- beautifully golden brown colour and crunchy, instead cold, with white taco shells that were the opposite of crunchy and were so soggy by the time we started eating, we couldn't even pick the tacos out if the box because they were falling apart! Really tasteless beef, overall really bad tacos. Nachos on the other hand were a lot better and crunchy.

Be really careful if you're gluten intolerant or coeliac!!

Even though the staff members were kind in asking if any gluten allergies were present and kept gluten free tacos in a separate box, as well as using aluminium foil on top and bottom of the tacos when heating in press, but they were cross contaminating fillings:

The lady after us had ordered a burrito which isn't gluten free and the member of staff was using a spoon for the filling which she then "wiped clean" on the tortilla itself before putting that same spoon back into one of their fillings (guacamole)!

When we asked about that they didn't really reply properly and just offered to make fresh tacos with new guacamole. We let them know that they should be very careful as people that can't have gluten could get...

All incompetent staff, asked for 2 Xmas quesadillas bundles, 1st server made incorrectly, didn't put camembert in until questioned, then woman before me realised he'd done same to hers which had to be remade, then after mine were toasted, they sat there going cold as there were no chips in the warmer, one of staff asked person in back to fill it up who grumpily did so at a slow pace throwing the bags around, eventually got bags of cold chips and questioned where the pictured salsa pots were, as the woman before had had with her same meal before me, to be told by another incompetent staff member they don't come with meal, although meal deal clearly states it does and is pictured with it. Avoid if you want a nice quick meal...
