I really enjoyed this course! Amazing views and a cool 9th hole! Due to the location it's pretty challenging in places (and windy!). If you do go wayward off a tee there's a good chance your reaching for a new ball. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Sandwiches looked excellent. There is a small bar serving drinks and a patio area with more incredible views over Bakewell! You are spoilt for scenery at this golf course. Especially up on the 8th green and 9th tee! I'd never seen anything like it! No shop from what I could see. They have a good size car park and we're able to accommodate my camper van (which isn't small at 7m long, 3m tall). Also didn't have any issue on the road up. I would definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area, but I would also advise that it is pretty challenging due to being located on a hillside and it's got a lot of ups and downs so you will get a good workout! Great place tho! Will visit again!

If you enjoy a challenge (designed by the gent who did Royals Birkdale and St Annes), then you have it here. It's a thinking golfers course where the driver is a last resort. As for the greens.....I'm bringing my laser level next time.....read them wrong at your peril! But brilliant!!! And even when the golf is not great, the scenery makes up for it with wonderful views over the Bakewell countryside. In all, a well worth visit. Hoping to play again Thursday morning.....if the lady sleeps late 🙏

Recently held my Senior Captains Away Day at Bakwell Golf Club. From the moment we arrived to when we left the service and hospitality afforded us was exceptional. The course is challenging but thoroughly enjoyable. Although it is a nine hole course the varying tee positions give a different perspective second time around. The catering consisted of pre match tea/coffee bacon rolls, halfway house and a two course meal afterwards that several of our members said was the best they had ever had at a golf course. Would highly recommend a visit to this Golf Club. Steve Sharrock Seniors Captain Greenway...

The family were visiting Derbyshire for the weekend. I spoke to Phil the club secretary who couldn’t have been more helpful. 6 of us played. The course was in fantastic condition with views over Bakewell. Greens ran true and it was a great test of golf. The club house bar and a fabulous feeling with lots of people using the facilities. Members were very welcoming telling us where to head to the next hole and speaking to us in the bar. Lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming and the well earnt pint of beer 🍺 tasted great. A fabulous day at Bakewell GC would thoroughly...
