Piedaniel's — Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

Went here tonight for my birthday treat, and was not disappointed at all.

The staff were more than welcoming, really warm and friendly, with brilliant service and personality.

The food, well, it was everything I'd hoped for and then some. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and sitting on a melt in the mouth potato pancake, surrounded by a delightful dill sauce. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it, and the chips were perfectly crisp, while the green peppercorn sauce had the perfect amount of bite to it. The vegetables that were served alongside had also been treated with care and attention, and not just as an afterthought as in other places. If I hadn't had my eye on a special dessert, then more of the veg would have been eaten, but I was running out of space.

Then my favourite dessert ever, and something I had as a kid every birthday, made by my Mum..... The crêpe suzette! Yum. Just yum! If I'd been home, I'd have licked the plate clean it was so good.

There was a small issue with the temperature of the meat for someone else, but it was handled with grace and professionalism by staff who fixed it without blinking; and very quickly a new one was sent out that was perfect. Couldn't have been handled better.

If I'm ever down this way again, I'll try and get back for another meal. This is not to be missed if you're in the area, you honestly won't be disappointed so get...

We are visiting for the bank holiday locally in Bonsall and wanted to try something different. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.

We were moved by wanting to support the couple that run this restaurant and we were not disappointed.

The team warmly welcomed us and we were delighted to sample their warm fresh baked focaccia bread on arrival. A truly special touch.

I ordered the sea bream, and my partner ordered the duck with orange sauce.

For dessert we enjoyed the Creme Brûlée and passionfruit dessert and the chocolate butter pudding.

The food was exceptional. The care and detail put into the experience and food and presentation was thoughtful and carefully curated. The depth of flavour of the sauces was a real treat.

We can’t wait to suggest this to family that visit this area frequently and hope to return in the future.

We are not from the area but my partner took me here to celebrate my birthday. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with amazing smiles and good energy from the staff. The place was absolutely beautiful!! The service was amazing and the attention to detail was immaculate, the staff were just amazing. The food!! Omg the food, from starters all the way to the desserts was just unbelievable. The quality of food was so good, I couldn’t believe it. My partner and I were very very impressed. We had an amazing night and will be definitely returning here in the future.
