Whilst on a short trip to Sunny Donny. We couldn't leave without trying out the newly re-opened dining spot. Located in the Fish Market, where else? On arrival, the place was heaving with eager diners sitting on the stools whilst watching the chef's busy preparing their orders. We were a bit apprehensive as we had our doggies with us.But having been advised, they are most welcome to sit with us,we were shown to the last two seats available. Once seated, we were handed a one page menu, and the very friendly staff mentioned there's a specials board on the wall. In front of you, there's Oysters galore in their shell, sitting on a bed of ice, keeping them so fresh. They were disappearing before our eyes,as people were ordering them left right and centre. If you like your seafood, you are spoilt for choice. From the main menu, we ordered the crab spring roll, served with a watercress, and a lovely spiced jam to dip the two halfs in. The three King Prawns were massive. Served with the tails on, in a spicy chilli marinade finished in butter, cilantro. These were amazing, and we could have eaten them all day. Off the specials board, we ordered the scallops with pork belly, fresh peas, celeriac, and pork scratchings. It was an unsual combination but still delicious. Then there was the Crab and king prawn bisque. Made with courvoisier brandy & double cream served with just the right enough French bread slices. We could have stayed the whole day and gone through most of the menu, but our doggies were getting bored and drooling over the food as much as us. We are so glad we stopped by,it's well...

It was a hot day and we fancied some light food to eat after a busy few hours in the Dome for an event.

Situated inside the market lies this treasure trove. Walking up to the fish counter we were uncertain if they were closing as lots of staff members were huddled around talking. After getting someone's attention they reassured us we could sit down and someone would come serve us.

The menu consisted of small and large-sized versions of most dishes, from moules to seabass.

I asked about the risotto would sounded delicious with asparagus, salmon, prawns and other tidbits but I opted for the crab and lobster bisque in corvorsieur. To share chose the popcorn cockles, and oyster each and he ordered the fish and chips.

The oysters were skillfully opened in front of us and served with varius condiments. The battered fish was stunning along with the fresh tartar sauce and mushy peas. The chips were tasty but I think triple-cooked is a bit overkill for my preference. My bisque looked stunning especially with a large prawn posed on top however the flavour was strong! Really concentrated, and tasty but personally needed watering down, I used my partner's chips to help break it up.

Overall everyone was really friendly just felt there was a lot of staff but little communication, we would be asked the same question minutes apart by different servers, wrong drink orders were provided and no spoon with the soup. The food as a whole was presented beautifully and was fresh and tasty. I just wish I had ordered the risotto! Highly...

We've been back again August 25 and it was absolutely amazing. Just my husband and I this time but we did keep our group of friends posted while we were there. Talk about envious, I'm surprised they didnt jump in their cars and join us. This time, i started off with a bloody mary, with an oyster on the side. Chef in charge is fantastic, preparing, advising, overseeing every detail of our food prep and its delivery. I then had 6 oysters, lovingly presented with the accompaniments. My husband had the Red Thai fish curry. Absolutely wonderful. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. We will be back .....and im sure well be accompanied with our friends.

This truly is a gem of a restaurant. I would urge you to book to avoid being disappointed at not getting a seat. What are you waiting for........enjoy everyone. The staff and food are amazing. ............. Four of us enjoying a birthday celebration out in Doncaster last Saturday, came across the Clam and Cork in the fish market and were really lucky to be able to sit and enjoy a plate of freshly prepared oysters, king prawns cooked in garlic, chilli and lime and a well chilled bottle of white wine. We were so pleasantly surprised at our discovery of this wonderful eatery and we cannot praise it enough. It's definitely worth a ten star review. We would recommended to book a seat in advance with them as we were extremely lucky to be able to do...

I was glad this place is open again! Heard many good opinions and finally had a chance to check it out while in Doncaster!!! Located at the market, food is sourced daily from the sea food suppliers. My favourite is always calamari and I had to try it as a starter!!! The best calamari I ever had. They did not disappoint, it was delicious, cooked to perfections with enough crumbs but not over done it. The dish was fantastic, each piece was juicy and you could taste the meat! Very recommend. The main I had a scallops which was devine! Very fresh pieces, the same cooked to perfection! Serving plates looked beautiful and you would not expect it to see at the market. I could see people stopping just to have some oysters which are open in front of you! The place can turn very busy but you can sit and watch the magic cooking happening in front of you while you wait for your food. Definitely I will be returning for more experience.
