Costa Coffee - Sandwich — Restaurant in Dover

Came in 6.20 (forty minutes before closing), it was empty and we had to wait fifteen minutes for a friend. Was asked twice if I was buying anything before being told to leave ten minutes later as I hadn't ordered anything, the guy on the till told us we could take them away and was polite, in contrast to the rude man (short, dark hair) who told us we had to leave because our friend wasn't coming.

I'm aware they've got to close and all but they could have just told us we needed to buy now or take away.

Friend came five minutes later and we were allowed to stay.

It seems being polite is only for paying customers, perhaps for future reference they could try waiting until close before kicking people out of...

Visited this store this lunch time,for a bite to eat,as its nice and quiet.picked up what we needed to eat and queued for our drinks order.while waiting I noticed the cake counter was virtually empty,and hadn't been topped up,also there were 3 members of staff behind the counter that didn't have a clue what they were doing.the girl at the till was standing with her hands in her trouser pockets and not making eye contact with customers,and the other 2 were trying to make coffees.after seeing this I put my food back and walked out.i expect more from a costa shop.this...

There was nothing wrong with the service, the coffee or the food - all were up to the usual high Costa standard. Our coffees and eats were carried to our table by a very helpful member of staff. Where this outlet was lacking was the unisex upstairs toilet. The plastic toilet seat and cover were detached from the toilet bowl and there was no soap in the dispenser.
