Oh my goodness, what a lovely little museum! The gentleman in the entrance was amazing, a very knowledgeable fellow. To be honest, his voice was lovely and soothing; I could’ve listened to him all day! The lady that’s there was a delight to talk with about the local history too. We took a random left turn at the market square to enter this museum and absolutely delighted that we did. I have been a regular visitor to the area for 3 years but this was the first time in the Guildhall. We learnt so many fascinating historical facts about the area and the courtroom is wonderfully preserved. Well worth a visit if you are in or near Sandwich in Kent. Free to enter with quite a few exhibits about the history of the Isle of Thanet - including an original albeit damaged Magna Carta!
