Genuinely the worst Indian meal I've ever had. On arrival we found the prices were much higher than their website and the other 2 local Indian restaurants. E.g. £13.95 for a curry from the 'specials' vs £8-9 at other locals. £2.95 for Pilau Rice or Garlic Naan vs £2.50 on their website and other 2 local
One waitor was extrenely helpful and very friendly. The older man trying to dress smartly who may have been the manager was the extreme opposite.
I thought being on the coast I would try the Aloo Crab for starter. It had zero crab, a little potato but mainly the oliy deep fried fritter skin.
Although there were only a few other diners, we still waited 45 min between starter and main course. I think the take away orders are prioritised.
Both chicken main course dishes were very salty. One in particular was inedible. On returning the dish I was told all staff tasted it and said it was fine. They said I was confused and it's actually mint that I'm tasting! I have serious concerns about the chef if this is the case. Mint is cooling and refreshing, this was painful on the tongue and the opposite of refreshing! It's also very insulting and disconcerting to be told you're incorrect when something that is so obviously wrong.
They removed the extremely salty dish from the bill and offered to cook the dish again. I didn't bother and left the remainder of the meal and full drinks.
Total bill for this disaster was £43.80. I have photos of food and the bill.
I've seen that management have replied very arogantly to some reviewers giving low rating. There are 2 sides to a story but I now have a tendency to believe the reviewers. I had no apology from the...

Super polite staff who couldn't have done enough for you! They were so lovely, especially our waitress who was sweet and nice.
Ordered poppadums first and they were, unfortunately, stale. But we ate them anyway! The dips were great! I've never had the spicy red one before, but it was so flavourful and had a nice kick!
Beers were cold and tasty, as always. Ordered our mains and they were tasty! Portions perfectly reasonable too. My friend had rice with his and it was a perfect portion for one. I had cheese naan with my meal and I found that the chedder was overpowering when I was dipping into my curry, but as a cheese enjoyer I did still enjoy it! And for dessert, there's a small selection. My friend ordered a coconut icecream and said it was really coconutty and yummy. I ordered the kid's penguin (mostly because I remember them from when I was a child) but the ice cream was vanilla flavoured and a good portion for if you've not got "much room" for dessert.
Will 100% go back if I'm in town.
And to that waitress in particular, thank you for your service. You...
Read moreWe arrived at 7pm which was 30 mins before our table was reserved. We were offered pre-drinks and made to feel very welcome until our other guests arrived.
We chose this venue as it was recommend by numerous friends and it did not disappoint! To summarise our evening, the staff could not be faulted at all, the food was of the highest quality and the atmosphere was amazing. Before visiting I noticed one of the reviews mentioned that the restaurant lacked in decor. They must have taken the review on board as they now have fancy printed wallpapers and canvases throughout the restaurant which add great talking points.
Dine India is now one of our highest rated...
