We came here for a spontaneous afternoon tea as it seemed popular and was very well reviewed. Sadly, it was rather disappointing... What we thought would be a collection of delish homemade sandwiches, cakes and sweets tasted quite mediocre - in fact, lots of the cakes looked and tasted like those you'd buy ready made from your local supermarket or the pound shop. Nothing felt fresh, either. We were also sat a very awkward table which seemed to be in the way of everything and everyone... I am a big afternoon tea lover and have had better experiences for less of a price and with better customer service. Came in hoping for that cosy afternoon tea vibe and taste of homemade cakes & sandwiches, but ended up leaving disappointed after somewhat awkward interactions with staff. Would not...

If you're looking for some traditional afternoon tea and you're in Deal, I'd totally recommend this place. We entered and asked for the traditional afternoon tea, but was told that we would need to pre order as it was busy... But they were very accomodating and made us an afternoon tea with some of the regular sandwiches and cakes, so very much appreciated it. Staff were very friendly and the scones were quite possibly the best I've ever had! The only downside was that the seating area is quite small (apparently they have a garden as well, but didn't see that) and it could probably do with putting menu in the window as there was a lot of people popping in to find out what they...

Disappointed. Waved out by a peculiar man before I even set foot in the door. I read the good reviews and as a local decided to try it rather than my nearby favourites. I had my dog (quiet calm Labrador) with me and was ushered away saying dogs not allowed.
