The Goodwin — Restaurant in Dover

As the New Inn, this used to be a great High Street boozer. Sadly, since it has become The Goodwin, all that has changed. Now, it's hardly open if you ever walk passed, and if you do venture in, you're unlikely to find anything you actually want to drink as it's normally "not on at the minute". It genuinely has the feeling that it's an effort to open for them, and the staff give off that feeling too, not particularly welcoming. I appreciate everywhere is struggling with the cost of living too recently, businesses included, however for £5.90 a pint, you'd think they could afford to turn the heating on. They no longer serve food, nobody was buying.

This place honestly deserves a negative, my house is more stocked than this pub.

A pub that is never busy and never stocked! Delivery issues can’t be an excuse for two years running.

Charged me £9.20 for a vodka and coke, this is a seaside town with no main industries except retail, I’m sure I’d find a cheaper drink at the Ritz. Keeping in mind that the same drink in Wetherspoons across the road is £3.69 for a double.

You’ll never see more than four people in this pub, once a traditional local dive now turned into an overpriced sinking ship.

Good..live music was really good there,both nights we were there. Bar staff were friendly,served you quickly and were fast to clear tables! Bad..I was appalled at the amount of people that were allowed to Vape in the pub as was the pot man? Being a non smoker and with someone who has health issues,I couldn’t believe this was allowed and it was openly seen by the staff! It was a shame because it’s a nice pub in a good location?!
