The India Village — Restaurant in Dover

I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed with Indian food than this restaurant. The garlic naan was dry, the basmatic rice tasted strange (I mean come on if you can't make perfectly cooked basmati just go out of business) and the masala was thick poorly cooked down almost gummy and bland. Not to mention the restauant was completely empty when I got there which should have told me something considering it was peak dinner hour. I took 1 bite and left. Lastly, the server was terrible. He rushed me as I ordered and when I mentioned that I didn't like the food... Let's just say he didn't like that.

If you want GOOD Indian food go to Namaste Sandwich. The ambience is way better, it's inviting, the servers are nice and the food is...well go see for...

Had to change my rating from 5 to 3 as our last visit to the place was somewhat underwhelming. The quality of food seems to have deteriorated. Although there were only 3 tables busy at the time, it was extremely loud as the waiter kept entertaining one of the tables with a myriad of random conversations, which they didn't seem to mind no appreciate. I rarely complain (you will see that I usually only leave 5 star ratings for places that are truly great), but to not revise my rating for this place would...

One of the Waiter's had an attitude problem when he was told that he had brought out the wrong rice and it wasn't what was ordered. He needs to work on his customer service skills! My Girlfriend's Vegetable Jalfrezi had no sauce and it was unbearably hot because they had put the extra spice in her dish rather than mine (which was what I asked for but didn't actually get) It was hurried service and chucked on the table at us. We won't be returning or recommending this...
